John Travolta's son dies at 16

He had Kawasaki Syndrome, apparently...it's rare to see it in a child over the age of 8, but not unheard of.

Well that makes little sense. How does an 8 year old get a motorcycle license?

Good lord, what a tragedy. :( I thought this was going to be another drug/alcohol/motor vehicle-related accident, as is often the case with celebrities and their family members.

Funny but perhaps a little too soon for some.

Levity helps the healing.

Ah, so you're that guy who starts cracking jokes at an autistic kid's funeral and thinks it's a good idea.

I think it'd be more therapeutic and helpful to the healing process if such things weren't such taboo. I mean, what's going to help healing? Having a little "fun" and trying to move on or wearing a black vail and crying and sobbing while listening to drawn out eulogies/sermons?

Except he's not at the funeral. None of us knew the person. It's sad but some people are being a wee bit too serious. This happens every freaking day only this time it was to someone famous' son.

No, it's not a funeral. I doubt he's even in the ground. Forgive me, but when I hear some kid died, someone trying to crack some dumbass jokes seems pretty heartless.

But by all means, crack yourself up over it.

Maybe but let's not get extreme and act like Trekker is the antichrist or something.

The death of a child is tragic, no matter who the child or who the parents. I am sorry for them all.

Oh this is awful awful news.. :( Poor child.. Poor family.

Accidents do happen.. and the child was a teenager.. unlike my boy who is very young still (and has seizures and autismlike problems), he prolly did not want anyone to help him in the bathroom. It is bad though when there is a problem with seizures.
