post something odd about yourself

I have one ear that is slightly pointed, which may explain why I have an affinity for Star Trek.

I like all of Star Trek. All of it.
Ditto for me ... with the exception of "The Alternative Factor." That's an hour of my life I'm never getting back (OK, seven hours -- I keep expecting it to get better if I see it again, and I'm always wrong).

As a child I was fascinated by maps and would pour over every one I could find. As a result I have an uncanny sense of direction, I never get lost even in places I have never been, and can find my way to places merely by seeing common patterns. When I was just 5 years old I navigated my family's move from the Bay Area to San Antonio using only my memory of the nation's interstates. The rest of my family look at maps as if they were written in hieroglyphs.

It even works when playing RPGs, both the old pen and paper and the current computer games. It used to infuriate game masters to no end when they spent weeks or months designing maps and encounters for an adventure and I would make my way through them unerringly, leaving most of their work untouched.

a little off-topic here, when I'm at wal-mart and they're shouting over the PA, I like to dial the phone's PA code and leave it off the hook. That way they're forced to communicate using their 2-ways.

I used to work at wal-mart and know the code for that store.

^I don't drive, but I can't tell my left from my right very quickly, so when giving directions, I suck!

Me too!

Actually I do drive and do pretty well, and I don't get left and right confused if I'm doing things, but if I'm talking I quite often say the wrong one.

I also have zero sense of direction. None. At all. If I turn a corner I get lost. Luckily for me, I'm very good at reading maps. :)

I'm left handed, and can also write backwards. Not as good as my mom who can sign her name backwards as an exact mirror image of it forwards!

You would be surprised how many doctors can't tell right from left.

I blame it on the anatomy training, whereby the diagrams decree that Left is on the right of the diagram, and Right on the left.

Lets see, memorization is my bane. Multiplication tables, names, what ever, forget them. I end up calculating things in my head quickly for math, and weird symbolic items for names. Still it's a challenge.

Also, I'm a psychic minister and have done thousands of readings on people...

This is kind of embarrassing but it's relevant and I think y'all will get a kick out of it.....

My butt crack is crooked. The hubby always says something like, "Awwww look at your crooked crack" when I'm getting in the shower and such. Instead of going straight up, near the top it curves to the right a little bit. It's not freakish but it's definitely noticeable.

!

I do the left and right thing when talking to people too so I'm not good at giving directions.

I'm not a good map reader, but my internal sense of direction does seem to make up for it. I may have no idea where I am at one moment, but can usually find a way to get to where I want to be
