I got a couple extra presents for my folks today (we have presents on New Year's Eve). I also got Fallout 3 for my PS3.

I picked up House season 3, X-Files: I Want to Believe, Burn After Reading, the original The Day the Earth Stood Still, a backpack, some flint, and a couple of Dark Knight posters.

My iMac arrived today. :D

My Play.com orders arrived! :D

H.P. Lovecraft Omnibus 1: At the Mountains of Madness
Lonely Planet Paris Encounter
Lonely Planet London Encounter

(and with the Pound so fantastically cheap, I foresee shopping trips to Amazon.co.uk in the near future!)

I got me a lovely Polo Ralph Lauren hoodie yesterday, thanks to John Lewis' sales. :D

I know, I know, I said no more hoodies just a few days ago.

I used my Christmas gift card to Coldwater Creek to buy these ( I just hope you approve, Holdfast)

:)

I really like the shirt.

You have more hoodies than I have shoes.

I also hit Ralph Lauren today! Picked up a couple of pairs of trousers:

- RL Polo mid-brown wool flannel herringbone
- RL Black Label chocolate brown velvet

Both very lush... and over 90% off retail!

Burn After Reading
Is this flick any good?
I personally thought it was hilarious. It's not so much "haha" funny, but more of a sarcastic and somewhat whitty/ ironic funny. And after you sit through the whole thing the first time and find out what just happened, it kind of makes the whole thing even funnier just from looking at the absurdity of the entire situation. I would say give it a shot.

So, I went it to my tailor to get these hemmed, and ended up walking out with the ties & pocket square pictured below. How does that happen? :D

One tie was 40% off, the other was 60% off but the square was full price. But I do get an extra 10% off everything, too. I needed a few new things to pair with a black/white houndstooth suit that should be ready in a couple of weeks or so time. With a pale blue shirt, either tie should co-ordinate nicely with the suit.

The socks pictured, on the other hand, come from lowly M&S and were 25% off.

Sales are GOOD. :D

Very nice!

You know, I only just was able to get Hubby to a tailor to alter his shirts---the first time he's EVER had anything altered. He's barely a Medium-Tall, but because he's so tall, he's been getting Large-Regulars that he absolutely swims in. He's a 34 waist and over 6'4", with a 36 chest and a 34 arm! And he refuses to wear anything but plain solid colors.

If you ever come to Texas, I'm going to make him go shopping with you!

Can't we go shopping instead? He's going to be impossible to fit with those measurements! :D
