I saw on trekmovie.com that Tobias Richter of The Light Works has made some really sweet looking wallpapers of the USS Kelvin. I've always thought the best Trek wallpapers in existence have come about thanks to this talented artist. Check them out!

No, you're not. This is fan-made artwork, not canon orthos. Anyone can make a ship with a registry that doesn't start with zero.

I read in the article that Mr. Richter of The Light Works was planning on doing just that. Those should be excellent as well

I know I,m a bit of a newb to this site but were there complaints about the leading 0 on the NX 01?
I like the Kelvin design a lot more than the new Enterprise one. Even if it does look unwieldy and the registry number doesn't totally jibe with established historical patterns in the Trek universe.

NX-01 is different, as it is a two digit number and there is no precedent for a one digit registry. However, a four digit number with a leading zero is dumb and pointless since there is precedent for a three-digit registry number, the USS Grissom.
It is nice to see someone else has caught the mistake Abrams and Cohorts have made and is tryong to show folks how it's supposed to be. Props to my brother who rejects the zero.
