One thing I keep meaning to do is get a tailor to take a look at my dress tunic, I sadly don't have the shoulders to pull off the tunic that is my chest size and the shoulders slump off a bit - it wouldn't usually be noticeable, but the fact there are metal numbers at the end of the shoulders tends to make them sink and look, frankly, ridiculous.
I'm hoping something can be done to it to fix this...

This is tricky.

First off, are you sure you don't belong in a smaller chest size (and therefore shoulder size)?

If you're in the right tunic size... narrowing shoulders is a tricky operation and not a cheap one, I'm afraid. Shoulder padding can be taken out and the sleevehead reshaped, but it takes a very good tailor to do it nicely without botching the job.

*sighs* I figured as much. Looks like I might be stuck with amusing shoulder slippage. Maybe I'll buy some realllly 80's shoulder pads...

That IS the other option, but I couldn't bring myself to type it out. But yes, more structure/padding to support the metalware would do the trick. But big shoulderpads, even on a uniform jacket, look a bit odd...

Well if it kills the image a little, I have ugly knees, and therefore rarely wear skirts

I have to put the skirtless image aside (sadly) and ask... what constitutes ugly knees.

I can bet mine are uglier - but aside from an oddly attractive Halloween outfit and occasionally donning one of my kilts, no one has the opportunity to see them

I'm a klutz. I came by my height early (I was 12) and lost my co-ordination. My knees suffered the most from scars, bumps and lumps. I actually currently have one hell of a bruise on my knee from walking into a desk!

So, I wear dressy pants for work, and jeans for the weekends

I'm exactly 6'0" or 183cm. My girlfriend is pretty tall for a chick as well, 5'9" or 176cm. Now my dad was 6'2" or 188cm, and my mum is 5'5" or 166cm, so if we ever end up having kids I expect them to fall right in between us in height, it'll suck either way if they're male or female

I'm 6'0", and just shy of 200 lbs. I'm the tallest in my family. The whole family. Mom's 5'2", dad's 5'7". He used to be able to wear some of my old sneakers and dress shoes, but since he's a size 9 US, that has since stopped, because I'm a size 13 US. None of my relatives on either side are my height, or at least none that I see on a regular basis. And, I'll probably keep on growing. I still have 2 years to go before I'm 18, so I'd assume I'll keep sprouting.

Walking through the halls of the school, I'm always afraid I'll step on the freshmen...I don't remember being that short when I was 14.

I like being tall! Sure, I can never put my clothes in the dryer. Sure, I have to buy long, tall pants and extra-large tops, no matter how much weight I've lost.

But damn, I can reach anything, I have nice long legs, and nobody messes with me!

For most of school I was always taller than everyone else in the class, and even at my skinniest I've always had big shoulders - so I look big and threatening (even when I'm trying hard not too!) - so even thought I'm a socially awkward geek, I never had trouble with bullying

Ouch... my knees are similar - though more damaged due to loss of seemingly essential fluids and cartilage which went missing a while ago. I often wear knee supports to keep them working - though the vanity side of me also weas them as they hide my knees

What makes it worse are that the knees are so bad that I couldn't wok on my legs properly and ended up like this

When the day comes where I can have new ones like in Family Guy - I'll rejoice.

I'm 5'4".

5'4" used to be the average female height. Now I think 5'6" is. If I live long enough, I'll have gone from being on the tall side to short. Damn it.

Being both a nerd and a short arse, I had some... but as they say, what we lack in reach, we had to make up in viciousness. I never had the same problem twice.
