How tall are you?

Wow, everyone seems to be pretty tall. Does the nerd gene coincide with height or something?

Just like the IQ thread, we will hardly get a representative sample, unfortunately.

In the IQ threads I get the impression that some people believe it's 'The Price is Right' and that if you go over the previous person's IQ by one point you might win the showcase.

After that gets started it's just an avalanche of higher and higher IQs that make Einstein and Hawking look like Forrest Gump and Lennie Small. I mean, I'll grant that a sampling of Trekkies is probably smarter than your average group, but let's not be ridiculous.

Hopefully people will be a little more honest about their height. And I swear I'm not saying that because I am currently the tallest person in the thread. :shifty:;)

Also, I doubt the embarrassingly short folks have as much motivation to post. :p

Think that some members will over inflate how tall they are. Is it not strange that the posters that are over 6 feet tall are the size of tall men. Very uncommon that a woman will be 6 feet tall, so it begs the question that the posters are men not women.

I'm a woman *shrugs* I'm over 6 foot in heels!

I come from a tall family (on my dad's side) my mom was 5 foot nothin'

One of the lasses I went to school with is a few taller than I am - but then she'd always been tall.

I'm used to being the tallest of all my friends, and most of my work colleagues, but it does seem that when I go to the local computer show that a fair few people are taller than I am.

Being tall usually means you have large feet (in my case at least, I have size 48EU/13UK/14US).
It's quite annoying when you need to go shopping for shoes, which I rarely do fortunately.

You assume that being shorter is something to be embarrassed about. ;)
No one should be embarrassed about something they have no control over.

5' 8" and just fine with it. I'll post back in a year once growth has ended.

In the Netherlands we have the expression "size rowboat" when we mean an ridiculously large size in clothing.
So my friends always joke I should get some surplus aircraft carriers. :shifty:

Yes, the IQ thread was approaching a singularity of BS by the end of it, a 'genius' score woudl have been below average in there. I guess it's a nerdy board's equivalent of teens posting 'my dick is only 11 inches, is this normal or too short?'
