The Dominion VS Species 8472

Now i know there has been many threads about the Borg Vs the Dominion and a huge debate on who would win out of the two, most people take the side of the Dominion and say that the Borg don't stand a chance. Well yesterday i was thinking to my self that the Borg where nearly annihilated by Species 8472, if it wasn't for Cpt Janeway and Seven, but who would win a war between these two great armies 8472 or Jemhadar??? in my opinion Species 8472 would destroy the Jemhadar and the whole Dominion.

What do you people think, any ideas????

The Borg would not be able to 'assimilate' a Founder. You set loose thousands of Founders, with capabilities like Laas, and I think they'd wipe the floor with the Borg..

I'm not going by Borg attacks on the Federation with one cube, I'm talking about the kind of assault they launched against Arturis' people (Species 116). Hundreds of Cubes, wearing down their defences until they couldn't fight back anymore.

Well "The Quickening" showed that the Dominion can be just as deadly with probably less effort. So far I believe the Dominion have caused more deaths among the Federation than anyone else. Not to dismiss the Borg at all but I don't think it would be as easy as you think for the Borg to take them out.

I'm sure suicide ramming attacks could take out those 8472 attacks, not to mention that I doubt the Dominion would bother attacking them in the first place. Plus the Founders could simply impersonate 8472, kill the occupants of their ships, then the Dominion would have 8472 technology (that would be bad, even worse then Borg Jem'Hadar).
In fact, in fiction, for that very reason, no writer would ever have the Borg best the Dominion- we don't need shrouding Borg, thanks all the same.

The Borg can't assimilate Founders, Founders cells are biomimetic- the Founder has a million different ways, to making the cells impermeable, to just isolating them and tossing them out of its body- wouldn't happen.

Also, the Dominion has tons of various forms of firepower from their own "assimilation" of numerous species, and enough suicide attacks- just pack the cargo bays with explosives for that matter- and the Borg would be wasted. But the Borg have bigger problems than the Dominion, like 8472...

You must have missed the bit there a single averagely armed Federation vessel ended their massive incursion into our universe. Starfleet has a weapon that is extremely effective against them and scary enough to force a ceasefire and retreat.

Given that Voyager and the Borg managed to come up with a sort of bio-weapon that wiped the floor with 8472 I don't see why the Dominion wouldn't be able to come up with a similar weapon. Their bio-tech seems to surpass that of the Federation. Or they could attempt to steal the technology from the Federation using those sneaky Founders.

Though given the insane power of their starships. One took out a dozen cubes or something like that, and that it takes only 8 of them to blow up a planet. Whatever happens it would be very messy.

I think that when it comes to the Borg, given the success of the TR-116, they should go back to modern super canons... should work...
