Stuck in an elevator with a MISC poster...

I'd be happy to be stuck in an elevator with anyone, but as seems to be my nature here, I'd only end up sneaking in and out of the elevator without anyone noticing.

:bolian:

Who can be relied upon to completely ignore me and just start reading a book or newspaper?

I want them in the elevator.

Hmm?

I'm sorry--did you say something?

(Goes back to reading)

:guffaw:

I was going to say "like Camelopard", but I panicked and thought you might be insulted!

ROFL! No worries.

You I'd definitely like to have in the elevator - we can swap books if we're there for a long time. :techman:

Cool!

Except right now, you'd probably have to put up with constant sighing, and occasional groaning, as I grade exams.

I shall be terribly English and tut loudly every time you make a noise.

And I'll be terribly Canadian, and apologize every time you tut.

It'll be like some absurdist comedy routine--in Hell.

Everything is better in hell. ;)

Any poor soul stuck in the elevator with us will be quickly driven stark, staring mad and will start smashing their head against the wall in an attempt to kill themselves.

At which point we shall both turn round and say "Shush!"

Thanks to everyone who mentioned me. I'm flattered.

In fact, there are at least a couple of dozen people here I wouldn't mind being stuck in an elevator with. I'm not going to make a list, though, because my aging brain would probably leave somebody out and hurt their feelings. I'm sure they all know, anyway. :D

My most memorable sticky elevator experience was the time at my old job when I was stuck in an elevator with seven secretaries and a pizza delivery guy for an hour. It was like a joke with no punchline. :rommie:

No, he was pissed because it made him so late. The rest of us were just amused. :rommie:

The funniest thing was that I knew one of the secretaries and she had coaxed me onto the elevator. I just wanted to wait, but she said, "Come on, one more won't hurt." :rommie:

I teased her about that for years.

Getting stuck in an elevetor is my worst nightmare...I'm ever so slightly claustrophobic! Just reading bro's post about being stuck today for 20 minutes gave me goosebumps!

So thanks Philo, but NO WAY would I get on an elevator with so many people! :p

Trippy, takin' the stairs...
