Generations.....Worf's Bloody Knees

I'm watching Generations again and just noticed this.

On the sailing ship when Data shoves Dr. Bev in the drink.....

Worf is seen trying to catch her then gets dragged back down.

Look at his Knees!?!?

It's a blooper. Michael Dorn got paint from the side of the boat on his knees.

Aah, now that you mention it, I always thought it was blood. I always used to wonder how hard he hit the water, and I guess rewatchin it over the years, I'd stopped noticing it. Paint off the boat? That makes too much damn sense!

If he was bleeding there would be pain involved.

I don't think there's a logical in-universe answer.

It's just a run of the mill blooper.

The boat on which it was filmed had wet paint. You aren't supposed to notice that it got on the actor's pants. The paint wasn't on Worf's knees; it was on Michael Dorn's knees.

Having bashed my own knees open a few times during various boardings in RL, I thought it was blood at first as well. But, as mentioned above, I learned later it was paint...

As many times as I've seen Generations, I have never noticed this.

I noticed it on my first viewing in the theater.

I always figured he scraped his knees up on the side of the boat trying to get up, and then read the paint explanation...and now I just don't let it bother me when I watch the movie.

Yay I noticed it aaaages ago and just assumed it was either costuming or something like that. You've just solved a decade old mystery for me

My next question is... how do you get wet paint on your knees and nowhere else on your body?

Hmm, he got a promotion in this film didn't he... Oh my... I don't like the way these two things could link up.
