the Wolverine trailer

I'm definitely a bigger fan of this trailer rather than the comic con trailer but they both have their high points. This movie is going to be stellar, bub.

I think I like the Comic-Con trailer more too. I'm not sure if I like how they reveal too much of the Weapons X "birthing scene" and I'm sick and tired of trailers over-utilizing the music (as good as it is) from Sunshine. I liked the music in the Comic-Con trailer much more.

Someone will...and I loved the Weapon X scenes. I'm guessing though that Department H and Stryker will be American military and not part of the Canadian government like the comics.

Looked pretty good. The Comic-Con one had some good footage as well.

Who was the chick that turned all sparkles nearer the end?

Emma Frost.

Is that a liberty they are taking? I don't recall that being a power of the White Queen. Wasn't she always a type of polar opposite to Professor X leading the Hellfire Club.

Granted I haven't read X-books since the late 90's but I just don't recall the White Queen doing...whatever it was she was transforming into there. What was that "thing" she was doing if you know?

In the script I read, it was Canadian, and not American.

You not only have to become a member of myspace, but a "friend" of the page to see the trailer? So balls...I'm getting real sick of this "exclusive" cross promotional bullshit they're doing all the time.

Emma Frost developed a secondary mutation during the Genosha massacre in the comics. This was a few years back. It allowed her the ability to transform herself into a perfectly smooth, flexible, translucent diamond form.

You might be also surprised to discover that since then, she's become one of the more prominent members of the X-Men. Even going to develop a relationship with Cyclops.

^^^^
The Genosha Massacre, I faintly recall that. I could probably find it in TPB I suppose.

I did know she joined up with the X-Men and Scott through things like Wizard. It seems she may be going back to her dark side. I saw art where she was at a villian round table for Dark Reign. Of course Namor was there also so I guess he has another itch to scratch against the "surface world". Wonder what has Emma crossing back over.

Santa Tim loves and smiles upon you by giving you a direct link to the 720p version of the trailer.

Ho ho ho.

Pretty generic trailer, really, unless you're a fan of the comics; the tone of the ad sells it fairly ineffectively as a "Dark Knight" knockoff.

Bingo!!! I thought the same thing Mr. Polaris

As for the Day the Earth Stood Still?? Ehhh..its okay. Not as good as the first one, but not terribly bad as its getting on Tomatoes..a 22% last I checked..I'd give it 40%

Just saw the trailer, and surprise! It looks worse than I thought. It looks like just about any other loud, abrasive, CGIed, overuse of bullet time summer popcorn fanboy wankfest. And since when does Wolverine shrug off bullets and go through walls without some degree of massive trauma, in spite of his healing factor? Invulnerable and indestructible are two different hings altogether. But hey, I'm over 30 and know there was a such thing as the X-Men before Giant Sized X-men #1, so this flcik is obviously not for me.
