My mom came over to my house for a visit and she saw the my computers wallpaper, which is the same I have for my avatar. When I asked her what she thought it was, she look at it and said "Is it a Whale" totally cracked me up. So, it got me to thinking about avatars, so my question why did you choose the avatar that you use.

My favorite ship is the Excelsior class, therefore it is featured as the hero ship in the stories I brainstorm. I recently bought a couple of "New Frontier" comic books(Issues 1 and 3 they didn't have 2 ) and liked the idea of making it look like a comic book drawing.

I thought Tokyo Drift had the best characters and story of all them.
I was actually a bit dissapointed when they said they were going back
to Diesel and them. But oh well, it's more F&F and that's what counts.

It's a creature I created in Spore called the Hewmons and I've been using it as my standardised avatar for months. The name is a Star Trek reference, the picture is from a game, it looks like a Simpson character... I think it covers all the bases.

My avatar is pretty much always Riker. Sometimes someone else will be included. I chose this one because last week we had the greyscale avatars and I thought it would be neat to just add cute Christmas accutrements. I think the men from the Enterprise are managing to mantain their dignity in their outfits.

I usually have a Cardassian of some sort, because they're easily my favorite Trek race.

As for my "main" avatar--I thought this was one of the most adorable moments featuring my favorite Cardassian, Tekeny Ghemor. The quote is by a guy named Anthony Brandt (no idea who that is)...I think in this context it makes a good summary of "Ties of Blood and Water," without too many spoilers. Even without being blood kin, there's no doubt what's going on there...

All my avs are "me" translated to various sf/f scenes (Mirror Universe, Borg, Jabba's lair), or general (hippie, cowgirl) sometimes with special guest characters that I particularly like, like John Shephard, Data, Bender or Sylar. "Temis the Andorian" is the one I use for winter, though the antennae animation is too simple at this point. I'll add it it at some point.
