Video game widow

Re: Vide game widow

Don't talk about blab's cooking like that.

Cayanne pepper and gravy go well in cookies right?

Of course.

That's the biggest part of my Southwestern Sugar Cookie recipe.

The gravy is the secret ingredient. Don;t forget the habaneros though.

I go Christmas shopping for a few hours and come back to this?!?

Shoo! All y'all! Out of this kitchen now!

The habaneros go in the salsa for the homemade tortilla chips. Gravy goes over the chicken fried steak and mashed potatoes. The fruitcake needs to soak for a while longer, so no fruitcake tonight.

Coffee, chocolate chip cookies, and homemade ice cream for dessert, so eat up.

They are, actually. But cayenne pepper in sugar cookies?!? Good grief. I think I had a coronary.

 Well, it's good to be appreciated for something, I guess.

Re: Video game wonder-widows

Dang, I'm not going to read five pages of this before I jump in…

Blue knitted vest (round neck though) with a big white P on it isn't fashionwear, it's for an emergency: you pull it over the no parking-sign and voilá: free parking!

Chili and chocolate is actually a good mix -why not chili and chocolate chip cookies?

Pepper (black, not cayenne) is an ingredient in a seasonal cookie in these parts; recipe dates back to the days where pepper was a new'ish and expensive spice from an exotic land though.

'Tenderizing hammer', good thing you reminded me! -I need one of those thingies you use for smashing fruits in a glass before adding the alcohol and ice.

Re: Video game wonder-widows

Ugh you reminded me of a chili and chocolate bar my husband got. I tried a bit and it was like biting into a fireplace.

He loves it, though spicy things do terrible horrible things to his digestive tract. It's a good thing I love him so much.

Re: Video game wonder-widows

as for the topic...

if you want to get him to stop playing (something i would suggest if it goes on for months) is to sit with him while he plays and ask lots of questions. enough so that he has to stop playing to explain what's going on.

if you can find a game that you can both play that would be good. if he plays that game too much, then make sure you suck at it so he won't want to play with you around.

or you could find a way to occupy your new found free time. were there activities that you liked to do that your husband didnt? go and do those.
