My father would learn your name once and then never call you that again (if he liked you. ) His siblings, his kids, his employees... He'd learn a single trait about you and brand you with it for life.

Coming from a heavily nicknamed family I've never been remotely bothered by a cute little nickname like "snips" that actually fits her to a tee.

"Skyguy" is a little weird. Basically a teeny bopper flirt fest, but I just let it wash past me now.

I haven't seen the film, so I was a little confused by some aspects of their relationship at first.

I just rented it and it is really underrated, if you have enjoyed the series I would confidently say you will enjoy the movie. The direction and quality of CG is a definite step-up from the TV series. I was bracing for a major disaster which never manifested and has me questioning some of those reviews. I don't know if I was softened from adjusting to the series but I found it very enjoyable.
