OK, I didn't mean season-wise either. I'm talking one show, and here is the key word -- canceled after six episodes or less. In other words six episodes total ever made. The original statement made was "those that survive." Red Dwarf was intended to be six episodes each season.

I thought that after I clicked 'submit' and hoped no one would notice ;)

To be honest, with cancellations I can only think of stuff like Firefly, MTV's wrestling show or the shows that were ditched in the writers strike like Bionic Woman(?). But they obviously beat the six ep mark.

One of the serials I enjoyed was the Fox show Drive, but that one was out after 4 aired episodes (6 produced). I don't think that one's going to be on DVD :(. Firefly seems to be one that's doing well on Blu-Ray :)

Fireflys something that passed me by. I got Serenity in a multi-disc set, but was told to go no further than there as the show would be a let down compared to the film.

I've never heard of Drive, but if was dropped that early I'm not surprised.

I wish the BBC would drop shows that easily here. Some of the stuff (mostly comedy) is dreadful and they keep it going. And over at Channel 4 they repeat Scrubs and Friends three times a day while good home grown shows are either forgotten about or run at 3:30am.

His show would've been better than Ent or Voy, though.

And this is supposed to pass as some sort of compliment?

I find it to be an insult to VOY and ENT.

Not necessarily so...

I hope not... as I've already got it on my rental list for the future - it should be sent out next once I'm done with Spaced.

Firefly is a beyond exceptional show. It will in no way be a let down after watching Serenity. It just doesn't have the budget, but the same heart is there.

^^^ Apologies. Just spotted a couple statements I wanted to respond to.

Not much else for me to add to the topic. Julan Tru!
