I love all sorts of music. If "mashup" could be a genre, then I guess you could call it my favourite. 
Got into it during its heyday in 2001-2002, even when it was declared "dead" as a musical fad, but it's still popular.

These days I mostly listen to music from when I was young: The 60s, 70s and early 80s. There was an amazing variety of music on the radio in those days. Rock, Folk, Folk Rock, Pop, Protest Music, R&B, C&W, Disco, New Wave et cetera.

I remember my first crush, and the song which became associated with my teenage longings at the time was 'Everything But The Girl -- Missing'.
And it still gets me, and brings back all those memories

Funny how it's possible to associate certain songs so strongly with events/people... music can be such a powerful memory activator.

^ Yeah, I agree with that. I listen to a lot of stuff. Progressively, Bluegrass, Folk, 60's Pop/Rock, Glam Rock, Early Punk, New Wave, Synthpop, Shoegaze, Post-Rock, Indie Rock, Indie Pop. I'd like to say Jazz, but I sadly I don't really know a lot about it.
I'm also not adverse to just about anything that has a good catchy tune.
In the last couple of hours I've been listening to The Feelies, Jim O'Rourke, Belle and Sebastian, and a bunch of cheesy 80's pop music.
This is really true. Sorry to say it Jonathan Wally, but that's why I can't listen to Type O Negative. Very very bad memories associated with that -- only time I ever hit anybody.

I personally like pop, and am now getting into alternative rock, as well as 80's and 90s tunes. The last song I listened to on my ipod nano was "We Made It" by Linkin Park and Busta Rymes..it's an awesome tune! And an example of a typical 80's tune that I listen to is "Two of Hearts" by Stacy Q(I know I'm lame, but I love the beat as well as the music itself!)

My bittersweet first crush song would probably be "Rock Me Gently." Which goes to show how old I am.
