Wondering if we've had a thread like this?

What music do you people enjoy? What was the last track you intentionally listened to? :)

I'll start.

Favourite genres are : 80s chart stuff; gothic rock; and contemporary electro-industrial.

Last track I listened to? : Ayria - Disease

Now your turn :p

Right now I'm honsetly listening to Genesis- In Too Deep

And with my av I feel like saying-
"In Too Deep is the most moving pop song of the 1980s, about monogamy and commitment. The song is extremely uplifting. Their lyrics are as positive and affirmative as anything I've heard in rock"

My musical taste can be very varied. My mp3 player has a mix of rock of various styles, classical and pop. Mostly listen when I'm driving though:)

Last track played was Cobra Style - Teddy Bears and Mad Cobra

I listen to almost everything, excluding most country and most rap.

Currently - White Stripes.

Rock, mainly of the metal and classic varieties.

The last song I listened to was Madhouse by Anthrax.

You're not wearing white coveralls right now, are you ?

Styles of music I don't like include, anything with a harpsichord, really whiny country western and ghetto rap.

Right now, I'm listening to Cotton-eyed Joe by Rednex.

My favorite styles are hard rock, heavy metal (not the guttural kind), symphonic goth rock, classic rock

I like most music types from the past 50 years. The ones i don't like are jazz, country, rap, metal, and hard type rock. So basically, i love Rock & Roll.

My big genres are newer country (and this is counting Big & Rich and Cowboy Troy as country) and TV/ movie soundtracks. However, my likes are starting to expand to older rock, and some of the slower rock. Not a big fan of rap, head banging, the more wild rock, or screamo.

The songs I just got done listening to was The Boxmaster's "I'm Watching the Game", Big & Rich's "Blow My Mind" and Gary Allan's "Just Got Back From Hell"

I like a great variety of music
I seem to like Indie/Electro/Art rock the most

some of my favorites are Aqualung, Blonde Redhead, Death Cab for Cutie, John Vanderslice, Kings of Convenience, Milosh, The Mint, Ms. John Soda, Muse, Mute Math, papertrigger, Ra Ra Riot, Radiohead, The Reign of Kindo, and The Weepies to name a few . . . haha 'few' :D

nothing quite picks me up like listening to 'We Are Nations Now' by papertrigger . . . give 'em a listen on their myspace page

I tend to go back to the Beatles and jump off from there, but I seem to be doing that less and less. Generally I like early rock, garage rock (especially from the mid-60s), British Invasion (especially stuff like the Kinks. British music, and my being a general anglophile, is why my avatar has a Mod target in it.), stuff like Velvet Underground, Frank Zappa, Dr. Teeth and the Electric Mayhem, J. Geils Band, Tower of Power, some glam rock, punk, indie pop, new wave (like early Elvis Costello, the Buggles, etc.), Jonathan Richman, Violent Femmes stuff like that.

Newer stuff (of the 90s to the present) includes Ben Kweller, Ezra Furman and the Harpoons, Vampire Weekend, Feist, Belle and Sebastian, Spoon, OutKast, the Grey Album, Franz Ferdinand, the Killers, Tenacious D.

Last track I listened to intentionally? I don't know. I'm on YouTube all the time listening to stuff. But probably "Take off your sunglasses." It's sloppy in a good way, like Jonathan Richman meets Violent Femmes.

Yeah, we've had them, but not for a while.

Sometimes in here, sometimes in TV&Media. Generally, I'm minded to leave generic music topics in whichever forum they turn up, though artist specific ones are probably rightly more TV&M territory.

Anyway, I tend to listen to anything that makes my toes tap or uplift my spirits. I'm not one for morose, melancholic music.

As I type, the playlist is just changing from Crash by The Primitives to Elton John's The Bitch is Back... :D

I'll listen to pretty much anything.

Last track I listened to was Heartbeats by The Knife. Great tune.

Last songs listened to:

'Papa Was A Rolling Stone' - Temptations
'Pompeii Nights' and 'Great Escape' from 'The Rocker' soundtrack.

Last albums:
'Pictured Within' - Jon Lord
'Arena' - Todd Rundgren
'L' - Lol Creme and Kevin Godley

I am currently watching a DVD of The Almighty live at the Astoria 2008. That won't mean much to many people though I imagine.

I listen to mostly Hard Rock and Metal, but my tastes go all the way back to motown and big band jazz.

I can go from Pantera to Public Enemy within minutes. Favorite band though is Type O Negative.

For the past few days been listening to a lot of Bjork and Radiohead with the usual Massive Attack thrown in.

And of course, NIN

Playing right now is Radiohead - I Might Be Wrong.

NUJABES.

I seriously hope you all have an imeem account. Otherwise search for a track of his on youtube. Your life will be ever so much more enriched! He's by far my favorite cross-genre producers ever! If you've ever watch Samurai Champloo, you might've caught one of his fantastic tracks...
