That sucks they don't include Rain of Madness in its entirety.

Sure, you can download it for free, but it would be nice to have it on the disk.

That would be really cool. Plus there's always the Rain of Madness.com where you can watch lots of stuff that isn't in the iTunes download.

RDJ should do commentary as Lazarus.

Well anything that's being withheld will just be used to the Limited Uber Ultimate Edition coming out later... which, of course, will leave out some of the stuff from this edition.

I have no problem with double-dipping this title :)

Bring on the Kirk Lazarus-narrated Oscar version!

I was hoping the "I don't break character until the DVD commentary" would've meant there would've been a Kirk Lazarus audio commentary, like the "Elvis Presley" commentary on Bubba Ho-Tep.

See, it's OBVIOUS he should do commentary as Lazarus.

Hope I'm not setting myself up for disappointment here, lol

I found the cast commentary quite blah and boring, personally. I expected a lot more from this punch, RDJ in paticular.

I completely forgot to post here after I bought it and went through all the features. I'm glad RDJ did the commentary as Lazarus (was there any other option, REALLY? lol), but I found Stiller to be a bit lacking. He wanted to just narrate, while the other two wanted to chat about commentary-y things. I don't even want to listen to the Stiller/cinematog commentary, even though this was shot really well. *shrug* I found Downey to be riotously funny, and had to pause numerous times to make sure I quit laughing so I could hear what was being said.

I got the director's cut of the movie, so the commentary was much longer. Trekker4747, did you get the 2 or 1-disc version? I can see why some of the scenes were cut, but they were funny nevertheless.

I was glad to see some RoM clips I don't remember being on the website, although I wish they'd put them ALL on there. Weird that the info I had found made it sound like only a trailer was on there, when there were numerous clips. hmm.

Great addition to my shelf, I give it a solid A

I got the 2-Disc "unrated" version. I've yet to go through the Disc 2 features or listen to the film makers' commentary. I'm really wanting to watch the "mockumentary" on making the in-movie movie of "Tropic Thunder."

The Rain of Madness mockumentary is pretty damned funny. The website has a few funnier bits of Lazarus acting a fool, but the things they included on the DVD are great also. It helps flesh out just how nuts the characters really are.

Also, let me know what you think of the full mags--the repeated takes of Downey getting licked and bumped by that water buffalo=:bolian:

Is that really a planned double dip? Seems odd that they didn't include the entire "documentary".

It's possible some of the eps are attached to others -- I went through about half of them, and they way they are named seemed to indicate that not all the ones from the website were there. A few mockumentary clips would hardly be double-dip material

It is... sorta. There was the big long version iTunes had, and then these littler chunks from the website, many of which made it to the DVD. We could probably glue them all together if it was that big a concern *hunts for scotch tape and Elmer's glue*
