Tropic Thunder DVD - Nov 18

Not to feel like an entitled internet bitch, but that seemed like a no brainer to me... oh well.

If something that should be on the disc isn't, that means they're saving it for the double dip.

I was really sick on Sunday so my wife was nice enough to buy me two DVDs I had been talking about - Hancock and Tropic Thunder. From the previews it seems TT would be similar to Airplane! in the comedic sense. I don't think I laughed once.

Glad it was only the single disk she bought.

Did you people think it was good or was I just that under the weather?

I think you were under the weather. It was easily the funniest movie of the Summer with lots of laugh-out-loud moments in and great performacnes by RDJr and Tom Cruise. I'd reccomend a re-watch.

Thanks for the opinions. I'll wait a bit and give it another go.

I didn't know that was Tom until near the end when he flashed a smile. It's a distinct smile and I was kicking myself for being so dense.

It didn't dawn on me when I first saw the movie until his title card over the end credits.

I knew it when I first saw him on screen -- to quote Sherlock Holmes

Ha, you see it now. My eyes have been trained to examine faces and not their trimmings...

Tom has a very distinctive nose and mouth. He was still amusing in the hairy fat suit (We do not negotiate with terrorists)

Is Rain of Madness really just a trailer on the DVD? On my Blu-Ray, it's looks like the whole thing. 30 minutes long?

On the 2-disc director's cut DVD, Rain of Madness is a series of clips, but not one big piece like the iTunes release. I still haven't watched them all to see if all the website bits are on there, but the stuff I've seen so far looks like 90% of the Lazarus stuff plus extra bits from some of the other characters
