Three x Three x Three

Okay, it is TNG's turn now...

It is said that for a show to be great there must be at least one or two, or heck even more, episodes that are 'great' televised in a row.....so with that as the theory...

What was TNG's high point? Was there ever a point where three episodes were telecasted, in a row, and all were classic episodes? If so, which three episodes were they???

Yesterday's Enterprise, the one with Lal, and the first one about Worf's father/Khitomer were all in a row, weren't they?

maybe not as strong as the previous one, but earlier, so more convincing for me. Plus, I'm not wild about BOBW2.

Well, in my opinion, right at the start of Season 3 there are two sets of three (or six in a row if you like) which I consider great (****) or very good (***1/2):

Evolution (****)
The Survivors (****)
Who Watches the Watchers (****)
The Bonding (***1/2)
Booby Trap (****)
The Enemy (****)

And as mentioned above:

Yesterday's Enterprise (****)
The Offspring (***1/2)
Sins of the Father (***1/2)

The next four are pretty good as well:

Allegiance (***1/2)
Captain's Holiday (***)
Tin Man (***1/2)
Hollow Pursuits (****)

In Season 4 production order there are:

Brothers (****)
Family (****)
Remember Me (****)

Also pretty solid are:

Reunion (***1/2)
Future Imperfect (****)
Final Mission (***)

Then five more in a row:

Data's Day (***)
The Wounded (***1/2)
Devil's Due (***1/2)
Clues (****)
First Contact (***)

I also rather like:

Night Terrors (***)
Identity Crisis (***)
The Nth Degree (****)

Well, I'd submit seasons three and four as proof of how well-executed TNG was as a piece of science-fiction, a two season high point honestly.

I agree..but on the flip side, it was clear from season 5 on they seemed to coast the rest of the way, prepping for the jump to the movies..

Yesteday's Enterprise; The Offspring; Sins of the Father. Remember watching those back to back on a vhs shipped from the States to the UK, just aftetr they'd aired over there. We were talking about those episodes for weeks!:techman:

Just to be different

I, Borg
The Next Phase
The Inner Light

Those were some three great episodes to end the season, add in Times Arrow (Which I liked as a finale) if you want.
