"Pushing Daisies" cancelled

That's not true at all. Why would ABC want a show that gets less than 5-6 million viewers?

Stop grasping for anything, the show is dead, the best one can hope for is a movie.

The show used to get 10 million viewers, without repeating the first season for 10 months before the 2nd season and no advertising and having a hiatus in-between episodes, a long hijatus, ABC is at fault

Riiigghhhttt.....

Considering the ratings for Pushing Daisies were only 10 million the first episode, by the time the 9 episodes ended last season there were a few million less viewers. Viewers were ditching long before the strike took over, and 10 months off.

I personally do not understand the viewing masse's fascination with tripe like "Bachelor" and "Bachlorette" and any other number of inane "reality" shows when there's much better programming to be found in shows like PD. Yeah, the reality based ones are cheaper, but my god, you have to have an IQ of a turnip to enjoy most of them.

I completely agree with you there, but PD hasn't had the ratings even later last season, so people talking about how it's the strike's fault isn't completely true.

That said, ABC couldn't show so ads with PD? They couldn't rerun it a few times in the summer, even randomly and then at it's normal time? There were only 9 episodes and ABC couldn't show them?

Hmm, perhaps it is because there was only nine of them that it would wreck their scheduling block that they'd have to find something else half size or have it's airslott subsequently crossing season threshhold which would frack up their financial returns which would confuse accounting and the demographics stats lads and gals?

Meanwhile it's ratings were so low that it wasn't perceived to be able to justify ad revenue to for repeats, even if it's more likely that all the people who hadn't seen it would jump at the chance because this isn't a futures market.

Now the thing about a comic... Depending on how well Bryan owns/is allowed access to Deadlike me and Wonderfalls, our friend could really go to town. :)
