L&O: SVU latest episode (SPOILER)

Mr. Laser Beam

Fleet Admiral
Admiral
Well, since Emh seems to be MIA with his usual L&O reviews, I thought I'd step in...my thoughts on this last episode (the one with the animal smuggling ring):

- Olivia. That bit where she shows up at the house that (undercover) Elliott is using, then the mobsters arrive unannounced and she improvises, playing a hooker: Hottest that she has EVER been on this show.

- Is it just me, or is Elliott the Miles O'Brien of the L&O universe? He's always getting himself shot, beat up, yelled at, marriage almost going bust, etc.

- Has there ever been more gore in any L&O episode before? This is some sick shit here. :wtf: 'Course, in an episode where vicious animals are the major plot point, it's expected.

- That rapper "Gots Money" was hilarious. Both him, and that ridiculous group of 'cheerleaders' hanging around his studio.

- Nice to see that the Stablers managed to keep it together by the end. (Liv had earlier talked Kathy out of leaving, and the final scene showed that El and Kathy were back with it) While I thought Dani Beck was hot, I think it's a frakking useless cliché that so many L&O characters have failed relationships. Nice to see the Stablers' isn't one of them. :techman: Besides, Kathy is cute. :D

- Andrew Divoff is creepy, as always. (He was the Russian mobster heading up the smuggling ring.) As he was being led away at the end he kept yelling that he'd kill El's family. Hope he doesn't follow up on that. :(

For some strange unknown reason, that Olivia "hooker" clip is a highlight video on the NBC page. :p

I loved that scene...

"Hey, Daddy, you ready? Oh, you brought some friends! That'll be another $250...each.

And then...

"Okay, but we've still got a date."

We've been waitin' for that scene with those two for how many years now?

There was an episode a couple of years ago where the SVU unit was staking out gay bars looking for someone passing along some really strong HIV strain and not telling anyone. I remember Liv was walking around outside all hookered out with her jugs pushed up and out. That was nice.

So, Super Elliott gets shot TWICE at almost point blank range and is up participating in a foot chase (even though it was sort of the OJ/White Bronco version of a foot chase) in, what, 20 minutes?

And, then we get hammered over the head with the undercover cop and how his family left a long time ago because they couldn't take the undercover lifestyle.

This doesn't even seem like SVU anymore. It's more like the movie Unbreakable and any day now we're going to find out that Elliott really is a super hero and he'll have to choose between the bat cave and the minivan.

And she was standing next to Cragen's car at the time.

For the record, the idea of Olivia shipping up with Elliott just does not compute. El's had enough trouble lately; he should stay with his wife. I'm glad they've still got it together.
