yeah.............

this is too Tim Burtony for even the likes of Tim Burton. Now who is Helena Bonham Carter going to play ;) most likely the Queen.

What the Fuck...???

I figured Burton would try to emulate the look of the original illustrations. Actually it does not even seem like something for one of his other films.

It's also the same costume he'll be wearing in the next Batman movie when he's playing, not Riddler, but Mad Hatter. :p

Oh, to me it looks very much in keeping with the look of his other films. Heck, it's almost as if Depp never took off his pale makeup from Sweeney Todd.

Its the red makeup that gives him such a different look. Around his eyes but there is a reddish hue to the white on his face. Plus yellow contacts and the orange hair. I just watched the mini series John Adams. This reminds me of how the French aristocrats were dressed. Very different from the Gothic look Burton normally goes.

This is why Johnny Depp should not play The Riddler. First, the Riddler sucks. Second, do we really need yet another androgynously gay Johnny Depp character? The Ziggy Stardust routine got old a while back.

Ok... and since when has burton tried to emulate the look of anything....

I hope some day Burton chokes on his own whimsy, macabre, and overblown pseudo Victorianism.

Um, yeah...that's a fake.

There's already photos of live action actors. Its a mix of live action and Beowulf CGI

I look forward to finding out that Alice had untold dark and traumatic childhood that alienated her from the rest of society. ;)

Seriously it looks great. We got Nightmare before Christmas the last time Burton and Disney worked together so my expectations are high. Depp as the Mad Hatter is also a nice bonus. :techman:
