I like it. Bit puzzled as to why some on here are noting it doesn't look like TOS Enterprise. Er it won't, it's from a movie made in 2008 . Its not 1968 anymore folks!

I was thinking the same thing. It was inevitable that there would be some haters but I didn't think there'd be so many who would be rationally opposed to it.

I've said before that I like it just fine, but a vote like this and the general disapproval on places like trekmovie.com make me think there might be a legitimate gripe with the design. I don't see it personally, but this many level-headed Trekkies can't be wrong.

It is interesting that there seems to be quite a few (me, for one) who have been positive about the movie and the inevitable changes that will happen - but do not like this ship design - at least, how it looks in that particular picture. I'm sure that when it's moving and grooving in the movie it'll look a lot better. They all do.

You really do gotta love it! If people think the thing is ugly, I get that. Different strokes and everything. It's people that hate it because it's NOT THE SAME!! that give me pause.

Wow, I've always loved that ship... but after adjusting to the new version I can definitely see how incredibly dated that old design looks.

Ultimately it's just a saucer with a few cigar shapes stuck to it. A bunch of minor modifications wouldn't have been enough. Whether you like what Abrams came up with or not, there's no question that he would have HAD to rethink the design for his movie.

NO one expected it to look exactly like the 60' enterprise. I dont know where you are getting that from. I think many expected something along the lines of a slight redisign(like in TMP) but retaining the same basic shape and dimensions. Instead it looks like what we have here is a redesgn of a redesign.

I really liked it before, but judging by the responses of those like the pair I quoted above, I'm liking it more and more.

It looks cool and makes sense. Hence, it passes my complicated test for if a ship is good. I really could care less of how faithful it is to the original, it's close enough for me! So yes, I love the new ship.

Yeah that's a good example of what an unflattering angle can do to a pretty decent design.

I don't love the Ent-E, but it certainly looked better than that in the actual movies (First Contact especially).
