Latest gas prices where you are thread

Pulled into the Thornton's after I left work and the sign said $2.02. For some reason, the pump kept trying to take the debit card as a credit (and thus no 3 cent discount). In the time it took to go inside the gas station to have them ring it properly, the sign actually changed to $1.99 without the debit card discount! Seeing that sign change to under $2 absolutely made my day!

I filled up for $2.59/gallon in Inglewood today. The station across the street had it for $2.55/gallon, but I decided $0.04/gallon more was worth not having to U-turn against cross traffic, get stuck in line before I even hit the driveway, wait for a pump, try to parallel park into the space, etc etc.

That little cheap Arco at La Brea and Slauson is hoppin' crazy, 24/7. It's the cheapest gas for miles, I guess.

I saw 87 cents per litre, or US$2.76/gallon, this morning on my way to work. I think it had gone up by the time I was coming home, though.

Across the street from where I work it was $2.49gal. $2.39 if you paid cash. Whats that?

That's not unusual. Gas stations have to pay for access to credit card networks (Visa, MC, etc.) too. So, if they charge you the same for cash and credit you're actually getting screwed over for using cash.

What's funny is if you just go north on La Brea to Washington, there's a Mobil (?) I think that isn't much more expensive. And that's not even counting the gas stations all along through the Js.

It's around $2.16 at the cheapest places here. Needless to say I'm amazed. I truely thought $3.50+ a gallon would become the norm and that I would never see gas prices that started with a '1' again. Obviously I may have been mistaken. It's damn good news considering I'm a poor college student in a town with no public transportation. Shelling out $~100 a month just in gas was hurting. That's even when I limited my driving to just school for the most part and became a recluse.

^Saw $2.79/gal. this morning on the drive to work in the Buffalo, NY suburbs. I also saw a blurb on the local news this afternoon that stated WNY gas prices are (right now) the highest in the country!

Way to go NYS Government! :techman: And they continue to wonder why business and people leave here all the time.....
