Freesat HD's first PVR

Bob The Skutter

In Memoriam
Here's a link to videos of the first Freesat PVR in action. It's looking pretty good. With dual recording, series link, split record, and automatic recommendation for alternatives when there's a recording clash.
I'm interested, but I'm not sure I'll be willing to spend the £300 for it, it needs some better channels first, Dave, Virgin 1, and the upcoming Discovery channel that are all on freeview would be nice, but I doubt it'll happen any time soon.

So is this basically the next type of free-view box that's HD and can recorded TV programs.
I suppose you could say that, but this is through a satellite dish, with around 130 channels at the minute. Although ITV and BBC are currently the only ones broadcasting HD on the EPG.

They're actually doing a new type of freeview box with HD through your aerial, that's going to be starting by the end of next year, that should have BBC HD, ITV HD, and Channel 4 HD.

not sure I would buy something that doesnt have all the worthwhile freeview channels on it
