The Night Crew

Um...

Started drinking at 2pm. My friend and I shared a bottle of Sailor Jerry rum, plus a few random Jagerbombs.

At around 7pm, most of my other friends got into town, and we carpooled to the party. Had a few shots and come cocktails there before heading out to the bars around 11pm.

At the bars, I only had a couple beers, and then I switched to water because I was feeling...ill...

I sobered up over the next couple hours, while my friend got even more drunk, and I eventually ended up taking his keys and driving his car home because he had lost his ability to stand up straight.

I got home around 4am.

Moved, meaning what? To another place in the house, or to another house? And satellite or cable?
Just the stand was. Moving to another house will happen soon, once I find somewhere to live.
TV does suck, I fully agree with this. If it wasn't for Law & Order, Life on Mars, or baseball, I'd forget the whole thing...
Pfft to all of those shows. The original Life on Mars I adored, but I'm yet to see the american version (not sure who will screen it here) - and baseball sucks! Cricket rules!

Original as in game used? No. But the only way i could find one was via ebay, as they arent circulated anymore. The jersey on the left:

Luc!!!!!!!!!

And the other must be Rob Blake?

Yep, Dave, Rob and Luc. Dave, I met and have his old business card somewhere. Rob, I havent met. Luc, is my cousin.

So I don't suppose you care that at least one of the Tampa Bay Rays is Australian? :D

Grant Balfour

I heard about that on the news. Sorry Baseball is even more boring than American football. Out of the 4 major sports in America - hockey and basketball are the most interesting.

See some baseball on TV. No interest at all.
Curling is awesome. I love watching it...and im not joking.

Luc, is my cousin.

Heh. He was like my favorite player when I was a kid.

Like the '93 cup team. He set the record for goals by a left-winger that year (63, I think.), but it was still all about that one 99 guy.

Then, after that year they trade him to the Penguins. :wtf:

I don't know exactly when I became a total baseball fanatic, but here I am. I hope we get the MLB Network here when it launches in January. (Although I suspect there will be a fair amount of 'filler' programming)

Definitely can't wait till next spring when two brand new ballparks open in New York, then the year after that in Minnesota...

Football? Unless it's the Huskers, I could care less. I find football as boring as most of you find baseball.

Yeah, thankfully he didnt last long with any team that wasn't LA. Especially Detroit. Good lord how i hate detroit.

shameless has no room to talk about other people's flirting.

not that i can see how Baba's post was flirting.

"well beam me up, Scotty!"

Me neither, but apparently in this universe, everything I say (including the weather forecast) is creepy, so I gotta go with the times here. :p

then the year after that in Minnesota...

Yeah. I so hope I can get a week off then so I can go home for the opener. God, will it be nice to have outdoor baseball in Minnesota.

People have been asking how Target Field will deal with MN weather. I think it's got that covered. It will have a canopy, and possibly even heated seats.

In the end, though...just about anything's better than the )#*%#^ Metrodome. Hell, even the Vikings don't want to play there anymore. Linky

(Now if only Norman Braman would shut the fuck up so the Marlins could get *their* new ballpark and get out of Dolphin Stadium...)

American football. The other codes of football are a lot more interesting. Pity you Americans don't have another professional code of football during the winter (besides soccer). I just find Gridiron slow.

I just find Gridiron slow.

I find football boring because it appears to consist of about ten seconds of actual play, then several minutes of nothing at all while the clock stops and the players stand around. If other countries' notions of football are any different from this, I'm not aware of it. :p
