Just got back from this one. Funny, funny, and charming movie.

Loved it. Lots of great funny moments in it, pretty good story, more than a couple surprises in it and just all around a good time in the theater.

And Amanda Crew.

'Nuff said.

The trailer looked funny and I've been a fan of Amanda Crew for a few years now. I'm leaning toward waiting for the DVD tho.

Yeah, I mean it's not a rush-out-and-see movie. If you can at a discounted matinee price, sure. But it's a good, funny, movie.

I highly recommend this movie. While true it falls into the "renter" category its better than Max Payne or Quarantine, that and its tonal more fun than either.

I saw it twice at two free screeners and would pay to see it again.
Its sadly being overshadowed and if it gets the justice in W.O.M. it deserves it'll rebound. If not it'll become a cult hit at rental.

Go see this movie if you like American Pie, Superbad or other similar movies.

Sex Drive gets an A- from me!!

OK, so I've now paid to see it. There is a brief 10second scene post credits by the way. It involves the father of Oasis gas clerk Brandy.

Anyway saw this cool promo pic that evokes Dukes of Hazzard.

Need a laugh?
Want a laugh?
Then go see this movie.

Saw it on friday and I really enjoyed it.

I loved the two young kids who would hit on every single woman they'd see, but when one finally says she'd fuck them, they're terrified.

And I found the Mexican doughnut suit way, WAY funnier than it probably should have been.

Yeah, the kids in the rice-rocket were a hoot. The donut suit was great too. Notice in the donut shop an advertisement for an "avocado donut." :wtf:

The guy with his balls hanging out had me shocked and laughing too and then when the woman offered to give the kid a "brown something" I sat there and went, "Oh no."

I can't believe how bad the box office was... 9th place.

It was beat by Beverly Hills Chihuahua.

That's.

Just.

Not.

Right.

It was beat by damn near everything. Unjustly I might add as its a great movie. Critics and Rottentomatoes be damned.

I just hope it gets the really good, and justified, WOM from all of us who did see it so that it does better this coming weekend. High School Musical 3 be damned as well.

Otherwise it could be THE END

ASS WARNING

Is it wrong that I was totally aroused by Amanda Crew padding around barefoot for a chunk of this movie? (Her character, that is, I guess.)

I mean, she's there on the screen. And we can't see her feet but I'm thinking.... "Wow! She's barefoot down there! That's so sexy!"

I heard it was really funny and all the clips I saw online were hilarious, especially James Marsden, who much like Tom Cruise in Tropic Thunder, in my opinion, is even funnier in his role because you know it's him.
That said, I wouldn't rush out to see this one either, I'll wait for ondemand or something.

Nah, go with it.
I did like the little moment when she pulls those green daisy flip flops out of the bag in the car and then later as she is sitting on the bed slides them on her feet the first time. The little smile of hers is adorable.

Sly Cardie I would say that as a rule most comedies are renters. I apply that rule myself. However, if one finds themselves in need of a laugh then they will not feel cheated of their $9-10 to see this film in the theater. Its got as many good laughs as you've heard. What clips exist out there are truly only the tip of the iceberg. This movie isn't a "seen all the funny stuff in the trailers" movie.

That's more how I felt about Seth Green as the acerbic Amish guy.

J. Marsden I harldy recognised, mostly because I'm not all that great familliar with him. He was good in it though.

As for Tom Cruise. for me it was funny for me because watching the movie the first time I *didn't* know it was him! And upon learning it was it was very retroactively funny!
