A pair of these guys for the car. :techman:

Unfortunately, the store did a crappy job rotating the existing tires and they are severely unbalanced and/or misaligned. A return trip is in the books for later today. :(

Sorry to hear that. Tyres are ridiculously expensive anyway.

I've found a pretty good local places for tyres that's both reliable and competitively priced. I replaced all 4 of mine recently (Continental SportContact 2s or 3s - can't remember exactly).

Actually, I got quite a deal on the Goodyear Assurance TripleTreds (the highest rated all-weather tire): about $115 apiece mounted and balanced, with tax.

Too bad the store underinflated all the tires and left one lug nut a bit loose. I fixed those problems myself and then got the rotated old tires balanced for $25. I don't know if there's really any difference, but at least everything's checked and safe now.

You get everything cheap in the USA. I'm not even going to say how much I had to pay for mine, since I'm trying to deny to myself that it ever happened.... :D

I bought some Mr. Clean Magic Erasers, a sponge, eucalyptus bath salts, and a lilac candle. Labor and reward.

I prefer going straight to the reward, myself. :p

I bought a couple of books - Nigella Express and What to Drink with What You Eat.

The drool icon is mainly because I'm thinking about Nigella, but the food & drink should be good too... ;)

Got a new blender at Bed, Bath and Beyond. It was only 40 bucks and we didn't have one, so why not? We made strawberry smoothies as soon as we got home.

Want to hear a wacky coincidence? I got one today too. Same sort of price. I wonder if we got the same one? :D

I was rather more virtuous and made a cream of broccoli soup though. :p

(tip #1 - leave the plug out if you're blending hot liquids, to let steam escape. Learnt that one pretty quickly... :borg:)

The global financial apocalypse is a bitch, ain't it? ;) The tires that were replaced were OEM Goodyear Eagle RSA's...absolutely terrible wet and snow traction.

And although this was more the result of a barter/trade, I now have these nice issue aviator's sunglasses.

This weekend I got my hair done and went grocery shopping. I also bought dinner at the bar where we watched Wisconsin lose to Ohio State. Unfortunately, that's turning into a yearly tradition. :(

Some more bread from the local bakery, along with pickles.

Comfort food for having been screwed over regarding that job for which I had applied.

I succumbed. It has been nigh on a year since my fortitude last crumbled; but tonight, I succumbed. I bought a jar of Nutella. I spread a tablespoonful on a piece of soft, warm, brown bread, and I then I ate it.

All the Band's fault.

Anyway... back on topic... my wife is getting paid again (YAY!), so we can spend a bit more on ourselves. Borders also had an Educator's Discount this weekend. I bought the remaining original 007 books that I don't own, and a book of Lovecraft stories that includes Call of Cthulu.

Then we went shopping for new clothes for my almost three-year-old daughter... while there, she went tie shopping for me. New clothes for her turns into a purple/charcoal, a blue striped, and a red with black and silver diamond tie. I also picked up a white and a blue pocket square.

My daughter... she's almost as fashionable as Holdfast.

I bought a black sachel yesterday.

Oh and some HUMANS.

Were they black too?

The Oster?

It was the cheapest one they had. :D

Nah, a Philips. Only has 2 speeds rather than your 14. It was a bit cheaper though. :D

Spreading the gospel, one person at a time.
