He's waiting until Blu-ray players are more commonplace so that when Star Wars is released it will be accompanied by a massive ad campaign and everyone and thier brother will buy it. If he released them now, the sales would be small (due to low # of homes with Blu-ray) and there would be less sales down the line as it was marginalized over the years....he wants a Big Release campaign like in 2004.
The fact is, right now Blu-Ray is a niche market. I myself don't know a single person who owns one. I'm enough of a movie geek that I would get one, but sadly I'm also a poor college student.
