Cowboy Bebop Live Action Movie is a Go!

This has so much potential for failure written all over it, especially if Keanu Reeves plays Spike.

Yoko Kanno and the Seatbelts had goddamned better be brought in to do the film's soundtrack, that's for sure. As great as the stories, characters, and action were on Cowboy Bebop, the music was the show's most memorable element for me.

Keanu Reeves? How atrocious. I think the last time he tried acting was when he was making Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure. Spike has a certain attitude he could never come close to trying to match even an eighth of.

I'd just assume they stayed away from this, but if they are going to why Keanu Reeves? They guy is the worst fucking actor in the world.

This is really too bad. I don't even like anime that much but I think Cowboy Bebop is a great show, and the chances of a live action film being well made is extremely low.

Trying to cash in The Matrix maybe? Both have heavy martial-arts influence and CB even uses some bullet time effects in places.

a competent writer and director could make a great CB film (prays for the assasination of Uwe Boll), shit just tape-ing all the Viscious Eps together and filming that scene for scene would probably be the best movie of that year, and how the hell are they gonna do Ed without CGI or the most flexible 10 year old girl on earth on acid

The problem with all these live action films is 60% of anime is the direction, American directors can never get it right.

Oh God! Don't bring up Uwe Boll! Please no!

I know! Ed...is also a bit different and I don't know how audiences will relate to Ed. Or Ein. Oh God! Ein. That'll be tough. Where's a good Corgi?

^well, i brought up the DEATH of Uwe Boll

and i think Chris Hansen will show up at each theatre that shows this movie if they keep Ed it the same outfit

They better frickin get Yoko Kanno to score it! It won't be the same with a Hollywood orchestral Goldsmith/Williams-type score.

After this give me a Code Geass Movie, Covering at least the first season, could make the sequel be R2, heh....

They better pick a good Jet, You could take a hair clipper to hugh hackman to get those chops, heh...

I wonder how audiences could handle the weird mix of sci-fi and cowboy bebop is, maybe start the movie with a montage showing the moon going boom due to jump gate malfunction and then humanity settling the solar system would be a great start.

^ A Geass movie is pretty far out, maybe by 2050 America will be ready for it, no, what I'd like to see is a live action Urusei Yatsura movie
