The Borg are after me!

TheLonelySquire

Vice Admiral
Last night I was in my regeneration chamber and I was paid a visit by the collective!

I swear to God I had a dream in which I experienced a repeating moment in time over and over. Three times a Borg drone was trying to assimilate me and the first two times I fought him off. The third time I knew what he was going to do so I jumped out the window right before he got there. As I was running away I thought "I knew I was going to survive the encounter, why did I just potentially change the outcome of this? What if he's still after me?"

Then I woke up, told my wife about this at breakfast, and she looked like she was reconsidering our life together.

See what happens when you buy the Voyager complete series?

Either that or the Borg ride at Star Trek the experiance.

When I was little, like in the second or third grade I had a dream the Enterpris ecrew came to my school and so did the Borg and the Borg assimilated everyone:(

I dreamed about Tom Paris once (which was great); but outside of that, I've never had any other Star Trek dreams that I recall. They say you dream about stuff with which you have issues to work out, and I guess I must not have issues concerning Trek.

Lol was your issue he married B'Elanna:lol:

[Freudesque chin rub]Hmm, interesting. Yes, I am obviously surpressing that: I like B'Elanna and pretend I'm ok with it in my waking hours. Yes, I can see that. [/Freudesque chin rub]

I have drempt of being a Captain on Voyager, but I wasn't Janeway, some other captain. Ive also drempt of being a really sick Tom Paris in Sickbay, but the Doctor couldn't treat me. Dreams are weird some times.

I had a Borg dream. Me and another Starfleet officer were fighting several drones with phaser rifles when they adapted, so I told the other officer that if you do something the Borg won't expect they won't be able to defend themselves so the guy went up on some stairs and kicked a drone over the edge and said "They weren't expecting that.".

You know what? It actually wouldn't be too bad to be a Borg. Massive amounts of knowledge, no existential questioning of my purpose in life, no worries about death (I'd live on probably 1) longer and 2) eternally in the memory of the collective)...

And there's always the implication made by First Contact that the Borg Queen personally...attends...to the needs...of those she takes an interest in. E.g. Data.

I'd never get assimilated, I'm largely irrelevant and damn near useless. I'd be left behind with that brick (who is a better actor than the one that plays Chuckles) and a bunch of Amish folk.

I think I'll pass!

:p No, I'll DEFINITELY pass!

Hmm, I, too, was taken in by those cat's eyes in the beginning (although Beltran was the first to catch my eye).
And you made me feel better about usually not having Star Trek dreams. Except this one time where Voyager landed in the real world. I'd forgotten about that.
Once, I had this really vivid and beautiful dream about being on another planet with colorful aliens in somptuous costumes and amazing architecture. If I can even begin to describe it, you might say a cross between Farscape and Vulcan.

That was a hot scene, in a Frankestein kind of way. But I'll pass, too. Or I would live in Unimatrix zero. Which pretty much reflects my real life. Although I don't slave away like a Borg.

I'm sorry to tell you this, but that was no dream; you were abducted by aliens from your bed and taken to the planet "Euphoria." I am so jealous! How about getting them to stop by and take me with next time.

I love any look at Vulcan on screen. I love when the Bird of Prey lands there in the movies and when T'Pol visits in ENT. Also, recently when I bought the Animated Series, I was delighted to find where they got the idea for how Vulcan looked from one of the first couple episodes. The Animated Series has been a pleasant surprise.

Tom does have cat eyes, doesn't he? I hadn't realized that before. I just always liked Robbie since he appeared in a slightly more nubile state as Nicholas Lucarno. I want to sink my fangs into his lovely neck and drag him back to my dragon's lair.

In fact, just yesterday I decided to try to look up some of his old episodes when he was even more nubile (I'm hoping) on "All My Children." I looked up the Soap channel on our TiVo and entered "All My Children" reruns into the Season Pass lineup. If anybody has any tips on seeing his old clips, I'd love to hear them.

I once dreamed I was aboard the Enterprise E with Lieutenant Hawk and we were trying to stop the Borg from assimilating Captain Picard. It was a weird dream.

I admit to being tempted by the queen's argument to the little boy in Unimatrix: her parents were still with her. The most compelling argument is the one where a drone's memories live on as long as there is a collective. We can't claim that.

Yes, it was that once-a-year super dream with so much to look at my eyes couldn't cover it. But next time I'm abducted, I'll think of you.

Well as a bird of prey myself, I would love to glide on the warm ascending winds of Vulcan's canyons. It easily rivals with the Grand Canyon - with vulcanoes, too, right? The first time I saw that landscape, I was intrigued. It might have been at the end of The Search for Spock. I never had a chance to see The Animated Series, but now I'm curious. Don't we also get a good glimpse of Vulcan landscape in a holodeck version on Voyager, or am I fantasizing?

I'm not remembering a holodeck view of a Vulcan landscape in VOY; just a cave. Maybe someone else does. Some of the TOS novels have nice descriptions, too.
