Yikes. Fingers crossed they end up OK.
Bought items for dinner with a friend. Couldn't be bothered to cook anything complex so had boiled lobsters, served with melted butter with a little garlic in it and then had figs & peaches for dessert. Now that's eating simply.
Opened a white burgundy, which was fairly heavily oaked and was an AWFUL match. Couldn't even finish the glass. Lesson learned. Next time, will try something much lighter and definitely unoaked.
I hope they recover.

TY! I WAS happy with my old 37" lcd, but this one is a much higher end set. I have to say, the picture is way better. The 37" is being relegated to the bedroom as a dual computer/tv monitor and will run as a media pc!

I bought a hat. There's a surprise.
A black sequins beret that's really pretty damned fabulous:
I'm liking it to add a bit of literal sparkle to the basic jeans/jacket/boots casual look, though I did use it to dress up a little this weekend. I wore it to the Smiths/Morrissey dance party. I paired it with this dress:
These shoes, which were clean when I left for the dance! (And yes, that's a crumpled chocolate bar wrapper on the floor...right next to the glucometer test strip; I've been a bit depressed, sue me):
black hose, and a silver sequins clutch (the top clutch hanging of the mirror, actually). The result was sort of Female-SS-Officer-goes-clubbing, but I totally made it work -- got a few compliments including "Casablanca GLAM! Don't get on that plane, baby! Stay and dance with me!" Which made me laugh till my belly ached.
I think I'll put it in the picture thread too -- everyone deserves to see this hat.
Next I need to buy a few hat stands. Currently my hats litter every surface in my room, including the top of my tv and my cello case. It'll be good too because then I can photograph them more easily.

Run, Fatboy, Run. Greatest. Movie. Ever. Maybe not an overall great movie, but as far as what it's about (minus the woman and the crazy Indian trainer), I've been there and it speaks to me. I think I found my new motivational movie for pre-race.

You do realise that you are replacing a high end card with a low-mid end card so you will be lucky to get the same performance you had before with the 7900GS?

Besides, i don't have that much money, so getting a videocard and a new PSU isn't in the cards(nopunintended), since anything higher would require a new PSU...
I just pre-ordered a book from Amazon and ordered some things for my critters today. 
Oh, only a couple hundred days a year.
