Further evidence: the Enterprise is built on Earth.

A later, more refined version of the "Enterprise" construction sequence has been posted online and sure enough, the Big E can be seen under assembly within some kind of structural metal framework.

It's still possible that final sombrero installation takes place in orbit, of course.

Actually I think it's pretty clear that the Enterprise will be constructed on Voyager's bridge, judging from this new picture.

Which makes total sense. Man I can't wait for this movie!

And this should make the Voyager fans happy too.

All the models were destroyed, except for the one pictured, which I believe someone managed to buy last second. It was saved, anyways. They had to rush it out of the way before the Hilton wrecking crew got there though IIRC.

That's an interesting construction by Starfleet. Do those chairs blast the saucer section into orbit?

Antigrav units, no doubt.
Same technology they used for Shat's girdle... :guffaw::guffaw:

I hear they destroyed those models. What a shame.

I was at the ST Experience this past July, and one of the managers told me that all of the models and the other memorabilia were to be shipped back to Paramount, and would most likely be auctioned off sometime next year.

She also told me the main reason for the closure of the Experience was that Hilton wasn't making that much profit from it over the past few years, and just waited for the 10 year lease to expire.

PS: Honestly, it was time for it to go. from the time I first went there in 2001, then again in '08 - The ST Experience was showing it's age (parts of the Borg experience were broken), and had seen it's time.

That's bullshit.

Everybody knows that Borg technology is self-repairing.

Okay, I but the Enterprise being built on Earth with a sombrero but Vegas! Come on, now they're really f'ing with canon. It's San Francisco. Damn it, Abrams. You are buttplugging my childhood and it never felt better.
