Considering Wood's history, he'd be the last guy I'd want on my dashboard for good luck.I'm glad I got to catch the tail end of the game on TV yesterday. Go Cubbies. I've got a Kerry Wood action figure on the dashboard of my car for good luck now!![]()
I'm not criticizing his performance this year, what I'm referring is that fact that he's been injured for most of his career.Maybe ... but he seems to have settled down to a potentially nice career as a relief pitcher

He could fall apart at any moment. Nothing against Wood but he's the posterchild for "bad luck."

Well, the Red Sox choke tonight with Beckett being outpitched by someone with an ERA north of 6.00. With the Rays winning, the Sox are now 2.5 games out of first and can kiss the AL East goodbye. They'll have to settle for the wild card, play the Angels on the road, and hope not to get eliminated in the first round. Tomorrow's pretty much an automatic win for Cleveland with the red-hot Lee pitching against the shaky Wakefield.
I hate Cleveland.
