The Night Crew

Of course you're invited, sephiroth. The more the merrier. The goal is to completely fill up my roommates' and my two combined apartments (they're on top of each other) and backyard.

Hell, if you're on facebook I'll send you an invite. I'd post the party listing here but then everyone would be able to see my address. I'd never be able to get off of Squiggy's junk-mailing list ever again!

My roommates and I rocked some pretty awesome parties when we were still in college. I spent the first couple years in the dorms, and I'd always go out to the party houses.

Little did I know that my house my last 2 years would become the party house.

It's in Montreal.

Our house luckily isn't the party house but we try to do this a couple of times a year. There are advantages to having a party at your own house, but doing it constantly would be obnoxious. We're holding the Liberal Arts College's Octoberfest party in October too. That one's nice because the college has a beer budget (and charge cover which we don't pay) and they agree to clean your house afterwards. Which is doubly nice, because last year our floor was covered in mud the next morning.

Well, we were the party house...for the Theater Department.

Still, our parties were fucking amazing.

Oh, I totally get what you're saying. Theatre kids are the ones who took the young naive nerd me and corrupted him with...things. Pot and making-out, mainly.

Too bad, sephiroth. You'll be missed.

Yeah. I wasn't a theater kid myself, but one of my roommates was, and me and the other roommate because theater kids by association. They are one fucked up group of people.

I'm pretty sure I'm the only one who didn't have sex with any of them, because I made a conscious decision not to get involved with any of the theater kids. I have told them as much, and they all applaud me for my decision.

Theater kids just have too much...drama...

not a Ride of the Valkyries man?

Oh good god, yes. I dropped out of the theatre program at my high school in Grade eleven and I think I'm all the better for it but I'm eternally grateful for what it introduced me to. And no, not just the pot (which I subsequently quit) and making-out (haven't quite quit that one yet).
