Talk about a double-whammy.
TFC lost 3-1 - after going a goal up - against Chivas USA. At the time, I kinda felt, well, somewhat detached from the result, since the depleted team was likely to lose, and I was taking in the view of Toronto from the West Stand and the atmosphere at the stadium for the first time, and stuff.
However, just now, I was watching Canada (which included Deportivo's Julián de Guzman) go a goal up against Honduras down at Stade Saputo in Montréal... only to go down 2-1 in the second half, get a player sent off... and to add insult to injury, the player who milked the tackles enough to get the player red carded ordinarily plays for Toronto FC!
Damned MLS insisting on playing matches on FIFA competition dates...
As you can see, I feel a lot worse about the second result than the first. Garrrrrrrrrrrrg.
