Characters You Would Have Liked to See!

I've haven't read this whole thread so someone might have mentioned this already: Joanna McCoy. I'd liked to have seen her. There's been so much fan speculation about her over the years, and if I remember correctly there was a script that never was. I would have liked to have seen McCoy as a father.

The return of Dr. Diana Pulaski, as C.O. of her own hospital vessel on a limited trek-lit mini-series set after the Dominion War, dealing with the bluegills from TNG's "CONSPIRACY" episode & possible ambush using the NX-Class 'Columbia' as Borgified bait for the Federation/Starfleet. a "Secret Wars" mini series where the Jem Hadar are keeping the Borg at bay (for now) in their own territory in the Gamma Quadrant without Starfleet knowing anything about it until the Borg decide to play their wild-card to end the stalemate.

Willsbabe: Joanna McCoy was in an early draft of TOS ep The Way to Eden. The role was eventually rewritten to be Chekov's old Starfleet Academy friend, Irina Galliulin. -- RR

^ Thanks for the info. I didn't know that she became Irina. Often when family members or old friends turn up they've gone off the rails or there are recriminations and soul searching. I suspect this is what would have happened if Joanna had turned up. Part of me is glad she didn't since I would have liked to have see McCoy as a father without all that stuff happening.
