NEW Trailer description online!

...and I'm glad the trailer seemed exciting and shows us a world that has no limits.

"In a world... that has no limits."

They should get that guy to do the voiceover for the Star Trek trailer. I wonder what he's up to these days.

And they should get Elisha Cook to reprise his role as your namesake, "Samuel T. Cogley".

I wonder what he's up to these days?
Elisha Cook in STAR TREK (the classic TV show) with William Shatner.
Elisha Cook Jr. (1903 - 1995) :(

Well, so far it sounds like a good trailer. Are we expecting to see this in November?
Does Paramount have any big releases coming up in November or December?

It doesn't have to be a Paramount release. I'm hoping for the new Bond: Wide appeal, and also a "reboot" of sorts.
Is that true? I thought that previews were generally tied to releases from that same studio... not simply assigned by the theater or through some other means.

"The Dark Knight" had the same previews all over the USA release region, didn't it?

Anyone know how this process works? I'm in the dark about it.

Previews don't have to be attached to movies being released by the same studio, no. It's just most studios wouldn't want a competitor's product to be advertised through one of their own tentpole pictures.

Trailers are released all the time for movies that don't have all the effects completed at the time the trailer comes out.

I was about to launch a vile assault on this comment before I realized who posted it.
I'm still totally lost on this comment...

I remember this line being in the opening cinematic in an old video game called "Forsaken." But there's obviously some relevance to it beyond that... anyone want to clear this up???

True enough. I remember... wasn't it Nemesis?... where they showed Voyager in the previews.

But I can't imagine that sort of cheesy approach going through in this case.

Don Lafontaine, the guy who does all those movie promos (a lot of the classic ones containing variations of "In a world where..."), passed away recently.

Ah, got it now... thanks, guys, for clearing that up.

By the way, this is what I was thinking of... damn, you can find EVERYTHING on YouTube, can't you?

Just brilliant. :guffaw:

I love the guy who does all of the Disney movies - also the fellow who does the "heartwarming and uplifting" flicks.

Nick Tate, BTW, is the self-same dude who flew Eagles for Alpha base on "Space:1999."
