Here's my completed ENT E. I'm not exceptionally thrilled with the photos I took but we have saying on Earth... c'est la vie.
The detail of the kit was done with decals created by Jon known as Trekjunkie over at http://starshipmodeler.net and the detail decals made by PNT. I made several mistakes that I'm not happy with that were due to my own impatience but overall it's pretty good. As much as possible I tried to keep the detail consistent with the closeups of the filming model that I have.
3 unique things about this kit: First the pylons are aftermarket pylons avaialble from http://federationmodels.com. Second, you'll notice that the defelctor dish is painted copper. I did this because the filming model is actually that color and frankly, I'm kind of sick of always "lighting up" a deflector dish and I wanted it to look unique.
Third, that guy Trekjunkie also made a fantastic set of aftermarket parts to accurize this kit a la Nemesis (I think). The problem is that Jon has never mass-casted anything before so they came out like shit and absolutely unusable. I got the bad batch and thank God I did because I had made the mistake of assembling the engineering section without installing the kit's deflector dish in to the deflector trench piece. So, ironically enough, the one really good piece that I got from Jon was a perfectly intact deflector dish attached the deflectior dish. I Dremeled the thing off, sanded it down and used a piece of flat styrene to cover the whole left in the kit deflector trench where the dish is supposed to go, glued the resin dish to and voila, a deflector dish 10 x's better than that crappy clear part.
