Benecia class through deck cruiser, 2265

A long time ago, there was a "through deck carrier" contest here (I think it was here). I finally decided to 'rebuild' the sketch I did back then into a late 2260s through deck carrier. It has a somewhat higher capacity than the contemporary Coronado class. Most strikingly, it has a flight deck in the primary hull, meaning the secondary hull houses most of the crew and other facilities.

There's an EVA/workbee hatch on the aft ventral hull. I've also stolen the 'in-between' pennant style featured in SotSF ;)

I'm wondering what kind of fleets or formations these vessels would fly in. aridas, what did you have in mind for the similar Coronado?

Well, for some reason that image is not working, but here is the original in the same directory

Harry, you may want to put an index.html file in that trek directory to prevent
snooping like I just did. just make a simple file that redirects to another page on your sight.

and that temp directory too. BTW, what server is Camaris on? I could look on the Armory, but thought it would be nicer to ask.

Those /temp folders are for uploading stuff for forums like this. It's the only directory with indexing enabled, so no worries there.

But it is odd that the link doesn't work. Try this link instead. Oh, and one more big question related to the Coronado and this one: SotSF mentions a Benares-class 'jumpship'. That sounds very interesting ;) Any thoughts at all about what this may look like?

still getting a "not found". even if I browse the folder and try to select the file I get the same error. Strange.
Ah Ha! found the issue. your webpage does not like Firefox. The link works fine in IE.

When you click the link watch the address, if the link in the browser says -2, change it to 1 and it will work.

Umm, no, if you read my earlier posts I suggested much the same thing. that -1 is not the same image he wants us to see. The problem is something with Firefox and his webpage. it works fine in IE.

Ya, and if you pay attention, even though the corrected link says -1, it still seems to go to page -2. I use firefox and had to manually change the -2 to -1 in the address bar. Do that and hit enter and the pic should show up.

Edit:
Ok, just did it but it no longer works...

Is there a bandwith thing, or did the person who runs the sight remove the images?

There were two images in that directory. -1.png and -2.png. for some reason firefox will not show the -2 version. If you changed the -2 to -1, then yes, your method would work. TO SHOW YOU THE WRONG IMAGE AS I STATED. The -2 image is still in there, but the -1 image has been removed. The -2 image still does not work with Firefox.

OK.. I looked at my access logs, and it seems the problem was my hotlink protection. It allowed links from www.trekbbs.com, but not trekbbs.com (without the www). I hope it all works now.

I use Firefox and have no problems. Interestingly enough, though, it looks like the -1 file is no longer on his server as it's giving a 404 error.
