What's on the flip side??

The five hour version of In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida.
Oh, it does. We're all tilted up at an angle or something. But it's all kept hush-hush by The Man.What I don't understand is... why doesn't the disc tip over when all those Chinese people jump up and down together?
I put forth that we're all tachyons living on a plate of tachyons I call the tachyplate. We're surrounded by a wall of dark, not ice, which is white because it is tachyice. Also Elvis still lives, and he's responsible for shooting JFK, who was taking secret orders from Tom Cruise of the Scientology Tachyon Empire.
Hang on... if we're moving up with an acceleration the same as that of the fabled "gravity", that implies that the Sun is moving in our galaxy at a comparable speed, AND that our galaxy is also doing the same just to keep up...
EINSTEIN SAYS NO! Unless we're all tachyons.
Again, some people are asking questions that I have already answered directly or indirectly. The Earth isn't just standing still, it is moving "upwards" (for lack of a better term since there's no "up" in space) at 9.8 meters per second squared so people jumping on it won't do squat. As for "the other side", no one really knows for sure but it's probably just rocks.

No. Again, I specifically dealt with this. See, this is why all these people believe that the Earth is round, they just blindly accept what is told to them by the elite and will just repeat the elite's talking points, even after they have been clearly refuted.
But taking the idea slightly more seriously for a second, the disc's 'upward' acceleration of 9.8m/s/s (what's causing the acceleration, by the way? Guess there must be an engine on the 'bottom' side) is utterly unconnected to whether you can put it into a spin by applying an off-centre force.

Yes but the force would have to be much more superior than a bunch of people jumping in unison. And again, we don't know what caused the acceleration but it was probably a big band type event.

But you haven't specifically dealt with this: http://www.trekbbs.com/showpost.php?p=2052500&postcount=35Again, I specifically dealt with this.
Since no one "knows for sure" then it's possible we're living on a cylinder rather than a disc, and there may be entire civilizations waiting to be discovered beyond Antarctica. As for "the other side", no one really knows for sure but it's probably just rocks.

How big of a band? Metallica? Crue? Actually it would have to be much bigger -- on the order of original Van Halen.

Yes, the jump in unison notion is an old, discredited idea (ummh... no, I won't say it). But as I said, the 'upward' acceleration you describe wouldn't prevent the disc going into a spin if a more credible off-centre force was applied, and indeed if the force causing this acceleration was off-centre from the disc's centre of mass, that in itself would put it into a spin.
Also... so the Earth's 'gravity' is actually due to some unknown force accelarating the Earth-disc at 9.8m/s/s? Speed of light is 299,792,458 m/s, so that would mean that after roughly 30 million seconds, the disc would reach the speed of light (if my back of the envelope maths is right). That's half a million minutes, or 8,327 hours, or 346 days.
Guess we broke the light barrier a long long time ago, even by creationist reckoning of the Earth's start date.
Actually, I'm ignoring Einstein and the point about never reaching c because of the exponential increase in the energy required to maintain acceleration as you approach it. But hey, that energy's coming from a Mysterious Unknown Force, so it can do anything! And it must be doing it, or we'd notice 'gravity' declining as our acceleration slowed as we approached c.

Oh, for the love of.... learn the proper terminology and its definitions and read between the lines! I clearly wasn't talking about heavy metal groups; big band refers to Glen Miller and his type.

This is like the fourth "what about the speed of light" post and I've already answered this on the first page.
As a side note, another important thing that I did not mention is the role of NASA in this conspiracy for a globular world. In fact, they are at the heart of it. We already know that they faked the moon landing but in the 20th century, with advancements in technology, the world's elite needed a central organ to hide the truth from the rest of the plebs, thus NASA who's budget and mission has been to create false technologies like GPS and invented mission to moons and planets like Mars to hide the truth from the world. They will sometimes make a mistake and try to cover it up but come on, how extraordinarily stupid do you have to be to mix up feet and miles and meters and kilometers?
