The books suggest Dax met Bones ... will Dax make an apearance?

Actually, it isn't just suggested in the books, it was established as fact in Trials and Tribble-Ations. However, I wouldn't hold my breath.
Though, if we did meet a Dax host, I demand they be wearing a sombrero.

So I've been wondering, much has been established about Dax canonically speaking. There is much saying her race is long-lived, and therefore she has been alive in the 23rd century. And since Abrams and his cohorts are saying they'd like to provide various links to the other Trek series, this could be a perfect link to DS9. Have a scene where Kirk and Spock land on an alien planet in search of Nero. While they're looking around, they pass by Dax. You know what would make this scene even better? Because "Trials and Tribble-ations" (DS9 ep) suggested it.
I had no idea when I first wrote my Morn post that it become as memorable as it clearly has.
Well, I don't think we necessarily need Jadzia Dax (who was on the Enterprise in Trials and Tribulations) in the movie. I think there is probably enough information in Facets and a couple of other DS9 episodes to piece together which Dax was alive during the period (besides Jadzia going back in T&T) and I'd actually like to see that Dax more than Jadzia.
I figured it was assumed that the Dax seen in ST:XI would be the host for that point in Trek history.

DS9's Trials And Tribble-ations established that McCoy met Emony Dax – Dax' third host – at the University of Mississippi.
Jeez...the level of random minutia you guys carry around in your brains never ceases to amaze me. 
I've seen that episode about 4 times and I don't remember which Dax it was and at what location they met.

Don't tell anyone, but I looked it up. 
I remembered that she had said which one, just not which one.
And the site of the meeting (Ol' Miss) makes it even more unlikely for STXI, since it seems to be academy-based for that time period. Maybe McCoy could make a remark about this girl he once met named Emony, who was a gymnast...

Don't see nothing wrong in them suggesting a reference to it. If there's an alien girl involved at some point McCoy could say something along the lines of
"No more alien women for me, the last one I dated had spots and a big slug-thing living inside her".
Something like that would work.
