Official Smallville Season Eight Spoiler Thread

I didn't think much of Lois and Clark and New Adventures of Superman as it was airing... How was I to know back then, that those were the good old days?

I know they probably couldn't afford her right now, but I wonder if Teri Hatcher will ever make a pitstop in Smallville?

I think thats an unfair thing to say, even if Smallville was a much bigger hit than it is, Teri is busy doing Desperate Housewives, so chances are she wouldn't be able to appear.

now if she wasnt in Desperate Housewives, it would be a whole other story.

That's what I meant by "right now" .

Before Housewives, she wouldn't have asked for too much above scale, and a couple years after it's all over, if there's still a Smallville? The lot of them Housewives are riding on a crest at the moment and they should be jaunting into the movies whose residuals will pay fro their retirements but... Teri is part of the mythos, and an appreciation of Superman is expected of her, even if from a bio I saw on E! that those were never that greatly stocked full of pride or ratings and no one appreciated her and Dean...

I just had a horrible thought.

Y'know how it's harder and harder to make Tom and the rest of then look like children? Wouldn't it be much easier to make them look older? How insane would it be to set the final couple seasons of Smallville in the future after Superman when they're all old people trying to enjoy their retirement even as those frelling Meteor freaks of the week keep ruining the Bingo and the quilting and the whittling.

^ yes that is a horrible horrible fault

and for what its worth I wouldnt object to her making an appearance, its just unlikely. as for Lois & Clark generally, I dont know, when I was young it was a part of my saturday night TV, I would be lying if I said I didnt enjoy it, but then I also enjoyed Gladiators & the Generation Game back then, and im not the comic book nerd some people on this forum are, just a TV fan. Hell ive even seen some of Deans post Superman TV projects, Las Vegas, and im probaly the only Brit to have watched Clubhouse.

In Season Four there were plans for an episode similar to the X-Files in which two FBI Agents would appear after finding the video diary of the reporter from Season one who found out Clark's secret. The plans were to have them played by Dean Cain and Teri Hatcher, but the episode was turned down by WB.

Episode #8-9: "Abyss" November 13, 2008

UPDATED 9/2/08: Title Posted. Please do not repost this on other websites without a link to KryptonSite.com.

Episode #8-10 Air Date Unknown

UPDATED 9/2/08: Chances are good that this will be the Jimmy and Chloe wedding episode, and it has been said that the event will be a "bloody mess."
- Comments from "Legion" writer Geoff Johns also imply episode #10 will be a big event: "I can tell you with confidence, the season they have planned is easily the most ambitious to date," he said in a forum posting. "There are so many twists and turns. And episode 10. Episode 10 is INSANE. My episode is now 11, so it's going to be a hard act to follow, but I'll give it my all. I have to say too, that if they pull off where they're taking Doomsday...I mean, I didn't understand where they were going when they announced that Doomsday had a human alter ego. But it's freaking cool. As hell. And fans of the comics are going to be blown away when everything is actually revealed. It's really pretty spectacular."

Episode #8-11: "Legion" Air Date Unknown

Written By: Geoff Johns

UPDATED 9/2/08: Writer Geoff Johns has revealed that "Legion" has been pushed back to episode #11, and he has this to say about "Legion" on a comic book forum: "They are absolutely, 100% on point with the Legionnaires and their relationship with Clark Kent. I can say you'll see an appearance by one of the Legion's better known enemies, but I can't reveal who just yet. More information to come when I can talk about it."

If anyone has reason why this union should not go through, speak now or forever hold your peace...

"Hold your Piece" actually works too I say after correcting a typo, since that is what happens if you don't have the gumption to stand up when the woman of your dreams is taking herself off the market because you're... :)

I like it when weddings go wrong.

If Chloe is pregnant and she uses her powers? Her old powers. Dying. Does the baby come back to life too once she levels out after termination? Because if Jimmy can put a bun in the oven to get the little blonde girl to say "I do" well, that places him a notch above Lex indeed.

oh Chloe & Jimmy wedding, that should be good

A bloody mess, eh? I wonder if that implies a 'Dynasty' type wedding, as in lots of bloodshed?
im going to hope for the best and I picture Chloe in a lovely white strapless dress, oh god whats this, two men have entered the church with a camera, people have been frozen in time, when people unfreeze Chloe looks at Jimmy, "hey Jimmy why are you wearing my dress" Jimmy shakes his head, sighs and says "oh crap not again"

ok so events in my head sometime play out like episodes of Lois & Clark.

More flashbacks

Episode #8 Bloodline
UPDATED 9/3/08: Lois finds herself in a very unexpected situation. It's not a romantic situation, but it is putting her in a place she's never been before.

Episode #9 Abyss
UPDATED 9/3/08: The friendship of Clark and Chloe will be explored, and there may be some flashbacks going all the way back to the first time she visited his very "Amish" barn.
- Only four of the show's eight recurring cast members appear in this episode.

I breezed through all 26 pages of this thread and I've come to the conclusion that Season 8 will be the most spectacular train wreck in televsison history. I'm not going to miss a minute of it.

And what's with Cyborg not being with Ollie's team anymore (according to the promo at least)? Does Smallville got a thing aginst black guys. Okay, I can understand that Pete Ross was dead weight, black or white. But where's Vic?
