TOSR year three seems to be a go

The final episode of TOSR year two, "The Ultimate Computer" is set to run this coming weekend.

My local station has another episode scheduled for the following weekend, "All Our Yesterdays".

Another board member says it's also scheduled in his area as well.

Seems year three is a go. Now if only we could get a year-long schedule like we did for the first two years....and find out when THE CAGE is running.

Yes, I am also seeing "All Our Yesterdays" in my DirecTV guide. The LA station has it scheduled for 4 AM on Sunday night/Monday morning. Hopefully that's not the usual time slot (they have shown a few other episodes late). The bad time slot doesn't make a difference to me since I record it via DVR anyway, but it does reduce the number of potential viewers.

I looked at the title of this thread and was puzzled for a moment -- "What is this, a post from 1968?" Then I saw the "R." ;) (Plus they wouldn't have called it TOS in 1968... or had an Internet...)

I just wish we could get a SCHEDULE out of trekmovie.com like they had for the first two years.

Haven't been able to find anything at startrek.com either. :(

Am I missing something? I thought that all of the original shows had been re-done already. What's left but re-reruns?

My local station (My68 in Birmingham) has "All Our Yesterdays" listed on TitanTV for next weekend at its usual time.

They didn't do the first episode first because they didn't remaster and digitally enhance the episodes in any order, neither the production order nor the origiinal broadcast order.

There is nothing wrong with showing The Cage last. That's how it was done for TOS too, it was shown 19 years after the other episodes aired.

The third season DVDs hit the streets (in the states) on November 18, if yer interested.

Year three, remastered, and year three of TOSR are two different things.

Year three of TOSR is a third year of the remastered episodes being shown in syndication.

You're talking about the episodes of the original series' third year being released in remastered form.

That's not what the thread is on.

I was hoping, since you sent me a PM with this exact message, my ignorance would fade and not be noticed.

Guess not. . .

No need to correct me in public and private then. If yer gonna correct me in public, don't bother with the PM. Thanks, play on fellas.

I didn't say there was anything wrong with it. I just don't understand why they didn't remaster them in order. It's the best way to keep track of what they've done. As it is, how could they possibly remember which episodes they did, and which they haven't yet?

They actually did lose track and remastered a few episodes a second time by mistake.

You're kidding, Cyrus?

No, I bet you're not.

And one of them wasn't Balance of Terror? Yikes!

And as for keeping track of 79 things on paper, that is easily done. We're talking about two sheets of normal lined paper, maybe three if the lines are far enough apart. You list the episodes in alphabetical order. You put a check by each one when it's done. If you want to make sure you don't make a mistake, you put a line through it. It's that easy.

I have a continuing project where I have to keep track of 208 things in four different, changing orders, and make sure they all match up. To make things even more interesting, the 208 things themselves can change with time. It took doing it on 3x5 cards, but it really wasn't that tough. And it's completely accurate. If I was swifter on Excel, I'm sure I could do it that way, too.
