So who here is using Chrome?

Chrome is pretty much the fastest browser I've used. The speed difference between Firefox 3 (to say nothing about bloated IE) and Chrome is quite noticeable.

If I could just get a version of Adblock Plus or an equivalent on Chrome, I'd never look back. But even with all the ads its still faster than adblocked firefox. And this is just DAY ONE, so improvements will no doubt be coming.

The process task manager is a nice little touch too to help manage memory usage.

GREAT JOB GOOGLE!!!!

I'm give it a whirl.

safari-hated it
Opera- didn't like it
IE- hardly use

Firefox I use 99% of the time. Even in my Microsoft Vista class the moment we got internet access all the classmates installed firefox

nothing too complicated so far

I'm using it right now and its not too bad, but i find it really slows down after a few tabs are opened because each one is their own separate process. I need some addons for it though, i miss my mouse gestures :(

Using it now and very much enjoying it. I also didn't expect it to be so pretty on Vista, but it is - nice transparent pane, nicely animated tabs, etc.

I haven't used it enough yet to gather an opinion on its performance and features, but it's certainly very interesting.

I've been using it a lot since its release and I'm very impressed with the speed. It is so fast. And the Javascript engine buries every competitor, including Firefox 3.1's TraceMonkey.

A very welcomed surprise.

The speed is indeed quite noticeable however the developments under the hood have impressed me enough to give chrome a promotion to my default browser(for the moment mind you). I would guess that igoogle themes will arrive shortly or with the non-beta version. Safe plugins might also follow. I look forward to working with chrome. Thanks Google. :techman:

I think it's unlikely there would ever be any sort of ad blocking feature in Google Chrome -- ads are where Google makes their money.

I just downloaded it and am using it. FeedJit shows it as me using Safari, interestingly enough, so I wonder if that means that it is using Safari base code in some way.
That's because Chrome passes this User Agent string:
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US) AppleWebKit/525.13 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/0.2.149.27 Safari/525.13
Most UA readers look for the last thing passed in the string, and in Chrome's case, that's Safari. (ETA) Or, more likely, nothing knows to sniff for Chrome yet, it's so new. :)

Note to self. Rewrite the code for the browser sniff plugin for WordPress to sniff for Chrome. (ETA) Done. :)

The speed of Chrome is ridiculously fast on my end. I like how I seemingly have much more space on my screen.
