What's with Splitting credit and next show on same screen.

This is fucking annoyign way they do it on cable for shows. I like to see who production staff are for episodes. It also ruins pace of episode by having credits from previous and intro act shown at same time. Who ever thought of this idea needs to be interregated by Lt. Thorn. and private england.

I believe they worked at Abu Graib-naked pyramids and dogs snapping at people plus panties on the head.

I believe it serves a couple of different purposes: first, it allows for seamless transition from program to program and the networks are hoping you'll watch what comes on next and forget to channel surf. Also, it probably adds in just enough time to squeeze in an extra commercial or two per hour.

I think it looks horrendous, and I find it quite irritating.

That and the "fast forward thru the credits" thing are just disrespectful.

It is just as annoying as the network logo constantly displayed on the bottom right corner. Also irritating is the way they flash adds for thier shows during a movie you want to watch. On AMC, every 30 seconds you see that guy from "MadMen" pop up and blow smoke across yrou screen and SCi-Fi will have the Ghost HUnters waving thier flashlights around for examples. I wish our tvs had pop-up bliockers. I want to see the movie...ALL of the movie...not just 90% of the screen thanks to thier pathetic ads.

I gather there is some legal obligation to show the credits, probably for copyright, but apparently there is nothing that says they must be shown at a size and speed that an average human being can make them out.

I wonder what the annoyance threshold for television viewing is, I personally don't watch TBS or TNT anymore with their chopped-up, sped-up, popped-up programming.

I hate it when they do this! I'm one of those people who will always sit and watch the credits at the cinema if I can.

Why don't t hey show shows in proper aspect ratio blasphemy I hope they get tortured by pegasus crewmen.

This is why I hardly watch any television program these days, outside of picking them up on DVD.

Yes. Networks started doing this in the 90s because research showed they lost viewers during the credits.
