During the next 40 years will something replace the Big Bang theory causing people to see current Trek as outdated as we see TOS.

Even more so, if a new prequel series is written will it stick with Big Bang or will it violate canon?

It is a great show. The one where Sheldon and his team in the Physics competition wore TOS uniforms had me in hysterics. The one where they were buying Scifi props online at auction hit really close to home for me.

I assume it will be cancelled this year-I doubt it has a broad enough appeal to stay on the air for long.

I love this show, there have been lots of Trek jokes on it, and always in a respectful way that doesn't just go for the cheap shot and make fun of Star Trek fans.
