Official Terminator Season Two Spoiler Thread

I can imagine arguments in their boudoir about who has the more relevant occupation...

"Terminators are so much harder to kill than Decepticons!!"

"Nu-huh!"

"Nu-huh!"

"nu-huh!"

"Thumb wrestle?"

^ Eh if Headey is a 20+ year Megan Fox then Megan Fox would be 15.

Fangirls probably wish BAG would date an underage chick. For some reason message boards rave about him.

Actually it was reported a couple of weeks ago that Megan and Brian had broken off their engagement because Megan said she's too young at 22 to be thinking about getting married. Not sure if they are still together or not though.

Okay...I've been catching the re-runs on Fox over the last couple of days and I must say that the second half of the first season has finally got me hooked and excited about this series! Last night they aired the second episode with Brian Austin Greene's Derek Reese as John, Charlie and Sarah attempt to save his life while we flash back and forward (talk about your paradox's...) to see the Future War and how Derek got to the present. This show is awesome...it started out slow, as I stated in another post a long time ago I watched the premire and thought it was pretty cool but couldn't really get into it after that. Now though that we're moving forward and getting very cool glimpses of the Future War I'm really into this series.

A question about Cameron...I'm sure this has been discussed many a time in the previous threads and other posts on this show but it appears she isn't what she seems does it? I think it would be too easy for her to turn on John and Sarah but that is what they're making it look like with her sinister glimpses and expressions...especially after Sarah's conversation about her about Charlie (love the actor who plays him since I saw him in Oz...) and her comment in the bunker to Derek about Terminator's the resistence has obtained malfunctioning and turning against their reprogramming. I'm wondering if sometime in season two she isn't going to snap on them.

I'm looking forward to watching the finale as well as season two in the next few weeks. I'll be seeing Terminator Salvation but this is just as good if not better, and should have been what we got instead of Terminator 3.

I could tell you but it would ruin part of the finale.

If you really want to know.

Season two will begin immediately following the explosion in What He Beheld. Cameron's chip has physical damage which has reset it to its defaults. In the Season Premire Cameron will want to kill the Connors, not protect them.

Two theories I had while watching Sarah Connor this evening:

Early in the season Cameron told Sarah that she follows John's orders, but that this John is not the one she follows. I wonder if Cameron is a lot older than she seems. What if Cameron was sent back in an earlier timeline and worked with John during all of the Future War until he sent her back to help him again and prevent Sarah's death? It would explain some of the reasons why she acts the way that she does. She has had longer to grow and learn about humanity.

I was giving some thought to this character earlier. There is a novel series called Infiltrator that shares many of the characteristics of TSCC so far. In this novel there is a character named Serena who is a new model Terminator that is a Human/Terminator hybrid. This new Terminator was sent back in time to assist with the building and protection of Skynet. This sounds a lot like what Catherine is described as being. She's a ruthless businesswoman intent on creating the AI. I think she's another who knows more than she's supposed to know.

I'm trying to structure my DVD viewing to coincide with which rerun is airing...delayed pleasure and all that jazz. :)

Ooh tell me how "The Demon Hand" redux is. My copy won't be in until Wednesday :(:scream::klingon:

Quite good. There is more of Sarah's taped session in Pescadero State Hospital (all done in one take) and a bit more interaction between Silberman and Ellison that shows how much the former now believes Sarah's story. The one drawback is that the lengthened version is essentially a workprint from a time before the scenes were cut, so there are missing CGI inserts, no score, and a rougher sound mix.

^ Oh they simply included (for Sarah) the scenes of her talking about how her dad was 'terminated' at his job because of the introduction of machines at the plant.

I'll be picking this up this evening.

I watched the next episode with Bruce Davis (is that his name who played Senator Kelly from the X-Men films?) as Dr. Silverman and saw all the interrgation scenes from the second movie with Sarah and John seeing it. Oh man...seriously I can see why you dig this show so much NX, I wish I could've seen it during its first run but that is what re-runs are for. I sent a request for purchase at my local library to get the season one DVD, if it takes too long for them to get it then I might go and buy it myself since it came out yesterday. I can't wait for the season finale...and your theory about Cameron is interesting NX. I'm not sure though I agree with Cameron turning against the Conners, although it gives them something more to do and proves Derek's point that they can't be trusted.

^ I can't wait to hear your reaction to John's Birthday Gift from Derek in the season finale. That's as far as I'm going though.

There are a few other minor trims and such between the extended cut and aired cut, but nothing big.

I'll be picking this up this evening.
Could you check something for me? I notice that for the Vick's Chip episode, my disc skips from the end of the intro credits (about 0:40 in) right to Chapter 2 (1:40 with Cromartie playing with the snow globe), omitting the entire recap of prior episodes (which I can see if I rewind). I'm wondering if I have another defective WB DVD.

^ On my copy you have to decide if you want to watch the episode recaps. If you choose not to it skips right over them.

So I finally was able to watch my DVD of TSCC today since I've been studying for a final in Econ that's tomorrow morning. The Demon Hand wasn't exactly my favorite episode when I first saw it and I would have listed it as a weaker episode. Watching the Director's Cut has completely changed that opinion in my mind and made it one of my favorites. This because of how they portray Doctor Silberman/Silverman (that irked me) in the episode. Despite his arrogance Silberman has always been one of my favorites. I always wanted to see how he handled seeing what he saw in Terminator 2. While T3's Silberman was fun for a few minutes, I had always preferred the novel version of him where he became a champion of Sarah's cause. This episode restored that to me and I love what they did with it. There were some minor enhancements with the other characters and you can tell its a workprint in many places, but the Silberman scenes make up for that. His talks with Ellison are very interesting and seeing how he reacts to the discovery of the Demon Hand. I also really enjoyed seeing how far he'd come and how paranoid he was. His chemistry comment also makes even more sense when you see the extended scenes. It's sad though that he made the mistake with the Hiker and killed him becase he thought him an infiltrator. I also enjoyed some of the extensions into the Cheri Westin storyline and I hope that it isn't dropped this season - but I fear it will be.

Ah. Silly me. :o For some reason I thought that "recap" was just a special term for "commentary" and not a switch for skipping over the portion of each episode.

^ Eh we forgive you. For being silly though I've sent three T-trip eights to hunt you down and make you watch Cameron dance.

Wait... I thought this was punishment?
