2008 Olympics!

True, but I still think Cavendish should have tried getting over the mountains in the Tour de France; especially if he's just competing in one event at the Olympics.

The UK dominate the velodrome this year, very impressive.

edit: and Bolt is extremely impressive too, he's going to crush the world record in the finals...

That was fantastic, a GB 1-2 in the men's Keirin! This being confident and winning lark is most un-British.

Usain Bolt is unbelievable - what a HUMILIATION of the entire field!
Running WR, first man quicker than 9,70, and he still didn't run until the finish line...

^ Oh my god that was amazing, at 85m it was like he was beckoning to the people behind him to catch up. He took 0.03 off the world record and he wasn't even trying!

Amazing

That was unbelievable, he fricking jogged the last 10m! That man is incredible. A new WR barely even looking like he tried.

I just hope it's legitimate. The last time a lot of people got excited about a phenomenal new record in this event, Ben Johnson got caught for doping. :(

I would hope he is not stupid enough to have to worry about being caught. :vulcan:

In other words, I won't be celebrating until official word comes that he competed clean.

LOL

He should be given the gold for the 90 Metres.

For the last ten he was drinking a cup of tea while reading a newspaper.

I have NEVER seen anything like that in my life!

9.69 while easing off & showboating in the last 10m, and finished 2m ahead of the field. Astonishing!

Usain Bolt is on a completely differant level to any man on Earth, if he puts in a real 100% effort for time, he could set the 100m World record for a generation.
Amazing race.:):techman:
BRG

That was astonishing... I just... I'm completely speechless. I've been an athletics fan all my life and that has just blown me away. 9.69. 9.69! That's just insane and if he'd not started slowing down 15 metres out he'd have been under 9.65 - its scary to think how fast this kid could go. Just wow!
