This time the theme is Spin-Offs. (Here's hoping we didn't have that one yet.) Remember, every TV series is fair game as long as it isn't Sci-Fi or Fantasy.

Avatars should not be larger than 140x140px and/or 70kb and are accepted until Tuesday evening when the poll will go up.

Yeah, but I don't want to look like I stole someone else's idea. Besides, I haven't got the DVDs. (They're not available where I live.) So I would have to snatch something off YouTube ...

OK..now that I'm AWAKE, here's a spin-off from a spin-off. "All in the Family" had a spin-off: "Maude." On "Maude," there was a character--Florida Evans. She was spun off into her own show--"Good Times." *phew*

Eh, it's an avatar contest, not a "pick the best show" contest, so as far as I'm concerned it's about who makes the best avatar and the subject is secondary. At least that's how I vote (extra points for coming up with something original or out of the ordinary though). Back in the day people used to use the same shows and characters all the time, but the avatars were completely different. That's why whenever I win these days I generally pick a very narrow topic to force people to be creative, and not just choose a popular show or character for the easy win.

Eh, it's an avatar contest, not a "pick the best show" contest, so as far as I'm concerned it's about who makes the best avatar and the subject is secondary. At least that's how I vote (extra points for coming up with something original or out of the ordinary though). Back in the day people used to use the same shows and characters all the time, but the avatars were completely different. That's why whenever I win these days I generally pick a very narrow topic to force people to be creative, and not just choose a popular show or character for the easy win.

Yeah, that's more or less the way I choose which avatar I vote for, too. Creativity is the decisive factor for me. But I'd be lying if I'd say my affection for the portrayed series or movie wouldn't influence my vote at all.

However, I settled for a Daria avatar instead. Always loved that show. Even moreso than the show it originally sprung off.
